CHILLICOTHE, MISSOURI: Social media was buzzing recently as a viral photo of Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her sister circulated during a welcome home party, marking her release from prison.

Blanchard, previously convicted for the murder of her mother amid years of abuse and medical fraud, regained freedom from Chillicothe Correctional Center at 3:30 am on Thursday, December 28.

In a recent revelation, Blanchard shared that Taylor Swift's music played a significant role in helping her endure the challenges of prison life.

Following her release, Blanchard and her husband, Ryan Scott Anderson, also made headlines as they were seen leaving a Fairfield Inn & Suites in Chillicothe on Thursday afternoon. This indicated that Blanchard's initial destination after release was a well-deserved night's rest in a $150-per-night hotel room.

Adding to the online discussions, Blanchard stirred up more attention by posting her first selfie on Instagram after her release, aptly captioned the 'first selfie of freedom.' The post garnered considerable interest as social media users engaged in conversations surrounding her journey post-prison.
