LOUISIANA, MISSOURI: Gypsy Rose Blanchard's estranged husband Ryan Anderson claimed it is still uncertain who the father of her unborn child is and stated that he would use a DNA test to confirm the child's paternity.
This comes after Blanchard and her partner, Ken Urker, shared a touching Instagram post revealing the gender of their unborn child. They are expecting a daughter, as shown by the explosion of pink confetti.

Ryan Anderson wants DNA testing to confirm Gypsy Rose Blanchard's unborn child's paternity
According to Gypsy Rose Blanchard's estranged husband Ryan Anderson, 38, who declared on Saturday, August 10, via a TikTok livestream, the paternity of the unborn child still has to be verified by DNA testing.
According to People, it is standard procedure for separated couples who are still married under Louisiana state law to have a DNA test done in order to determine paternity.
"I have to get a DNA test. I don't have a choice,” Anderson remarked, before adding, "I hate being in this situation."
Anderson maintained that he must "take a DNA test for court" and went on to say that he must provide his opinion before learning the outcome.
He added: "The way the timeline matches up — I don't think it's mine, but I don't know. The DNA test is going to prove it. Crazier things have happened. I just don't know. I have my thoughts and I have my opinions."
"You love Ken? Good for you. I'm glad that community loves Ken. Good for that. But hopefully if you are here with me, you are team Ryan," Anderson added in his social media declaration.
What does Louisiana law say?
Ryan Anderson's social media tirade came shortly after Gypsy Rose Blanchard, 33, and Ken Urker, 31, revealed they are expecting a baby girl together after celebrating a gender reveal.
The 32-year-old media star revealed on July 9 that she is expecting a child with her current boyfriend, Urker, with a predicted delivery date of January 2025. This would indicate that the conception occurred somewhere in April, per Daily Mail.
Shortly after making their separation public, Blanchard (born Gypsy Rose Alcida) filed for divorce from Anderson—whom she wed in 2022 while incarcerated—on April 8.
Shortly after declaring her quest to uncover "who I am," Blanchard was observed hanging out with her ex-fiance, Urker. She revealed that she and Urker are expecting their first child together on July 9, around four months later.

It turns out that if Blanchard is still legally married to Anderson by the time the child is born, she might be required by Louisiana law to list his name on the birth certificate.
Anderson needs to sign an affidavit attesting to his paternity if Urker wants his name to appear on the birth certificate. The three of them will need to undergo a DNA test to verify the parents if Urker doesn't go through this legal process with the court.
Anderson's name will be formally replaced with Urker's on the birth certificate as the baby's father if DNA testing confirms Urker is the father.
Internet supports Ryan Anderson for DNA test to confirm child's paternity
Social media users took to the Facebook comment section to express their views over Ryan Anderson's decision to get a DNA test in order to confirm the paternity of Gypsy Rose Blanchard's unborn child.
One user backed Anderson and wrote, "Ryan I hope you hope it's not yours. You will be saving yourself drama and pain and who knows maybe tragedy."
A second user added: "Paternity has to be established regardless as she is still married and Louisiana will want Ryan’s name on birth certificate bc they are married and in the eyes of the law it’s his kid until proven otherwise."
"Best thing for the baby would be Ryan is the baby daddy!" exclaimed a third user.
Another remarked, "There's a chance the baby girl could be his, it's best to find out for sure if it is or not."
One noted, "Even with a DNA test unless they finalize the divorce it will be considered Ryan's baby in the eyes of the government. Logically the person you married is the father of your child."
"Maybe, the LAW will require a DNA test as she was married when she conceived.. before they can get a divorce," assumed another.
