NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Hailey Bieber attended the Met Gala 2025 and walked the red carpet without her husband, Justin Bieber, who missed the event on Monday, May 5, amid rumors of marriage woes.

Over the last few months, fans have become concerned for Justin Bieber's well-being, amid his recent appearances and "cry for help" livestream video on Instagram early in April, according to Daily Mail.

During the event on Monday night, Hailey, who donned a simple, black Saint Laurent mini blazer, did not appear alongside Justin amid recent speculation that their marriage is not going well. She was spotted alongside Kendall Jenner.

Hailey teamed the blazer with sheer tights, patent, platform pumps, and a whole lot of Tiffany & Co bling, according to People.

She added pops of sparkle, including a bracelet, a ring from Tiffany & Co's 2024 Tiffany Blue Book Collection, and a pair of glittering drop earrings, which peeked out from behind her hair.

Moreover, she also wore her blush, glowy base, and a glossy pink lip, per the outlet.

As Justin missed the event on Monday, he posted a carousel of pictures of his night, showing him watching the Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers playoff game, according to The Mirror.

In the post, Justin could be seen watching the game on a big screen, as he smiled at the screen and cheered on his team. He wore a pink zip-up jacket under a red jacket and sweatpants.

Body language expert believes Hailey Bieber delivered a 'strong statement'

Body language expert Judi James believes Hailey Bieber's solo walk and understated outfit on the Met Gala red carpet gave a "strong statement" as she ditched Justin Bieber.

Talking to Daily Mail, James said, "Doing the Met without Justin looks like a strong statement and Hailey's styling and her body language looked equally strong."

The body language expert continued, "This is a very simple-statement look in a sea of overstated fashion. Her 'just a jacket' sticks to the theme of the Gala but without the clause of 'Dandy' that might have given it an emotional lift."

"Hailey's dark jacket looked simple and somber, as did her body language. She tossed her hair but not a preening ritual and she glanced over her shoulder but with a serious-looking facial expression that lacked any signs of excitement or emotion," James added.

The body language expert also mentioned that Hailey's basic makeup and overall look may have been because she didn't want to grab much attention to herself.

"Her makeup and her styling looked understated, and she seemed to be giving the message that her beauty didn't need any garnish to have impact, but also the impression that she didn't seem to want to be seen relishing the very public appearance without her famous husband at her side," James said.

Hailey Bieber was seen leaving Sushi Park in West Hollywood on the night of April 3, joined by close friends Kendall and Kylie Jenner, along with influencer Stassie Karanikolaou.

However, what grabbed everyone's attention was the way Hailey kept her left hand tucked deep into her front jeans pocket the entire evening.

Photos by the Daily Mail showed Hailey holding a black purse under one arm while her left hand, where the wedding ring should be, was inside her jeans pocket.

The jeans looked visibly strained as she kept her fingers hidden, as she fuelled speculation that something was up between her and Justin.

Interestingly, rumors of a rift between the couple have been swirling for months.

A source informed Daily Mail earlier in 2025, "Hailey's been struggling with Justin almost since the start of the marriage. She loves him madly, but he's a loose cannon. Some of her friends have advised her to go it alone and leave him."
