"I miscarried during a concert," Halsey revealed. "I started miscarrying before the show." At that early stage in her career, Halsey felt immense pressure to perform despite the physical and emotional turmoil she was experiencing.

"And I was in a really tough position because it was really early on in my career and there was a lot attached to the show," the musician continued.

"There was a corporate partner, there was a greater media entity partner, but more importantly than that to me, there were a thousand kids who waited all day long to get into this show and see me."

Determined to not disappoint her fans, Halsey made the difficult decision to go on with the show.

"And what ended up happening was I ended up just putting on an adult diaper," Halsey said. "They'd only asked me to perform I think 45 minutes. And I didn't really have that much music out, to be honest with you, so I don't know that I could have played longer."

Halsey revealed that after performing the show, she vomited in the parking lot.

The next morning, Halsey had to board a plane to Canada, still bleeding and in pain. Watching the concert footage later was a distressing experience. "When I look at it now, I see myself just white and sweating, and my voice is different," she said. "I sound and look like a different person."

"I went to a hotel and I was sick all night. I remember sitting in the bathtub because I just didn't know what to do with all the blood," she recalled. "And then waking up at 5 or 6 in the morning to get on another airplane to go to Canada," she added.

Halsey spoke about the isolation she felt, as the only miscarriage stories she had heard were from happily married women who had later carried pregnancies to term. "I just felt so alone," she said. At just 20 years old, she grappled with complex emotions, feeling like she should have been able to carry a baby despite not wanting to be pregnant at that time.

Halsey's recent revelation that she suffered a miscarriage during a concert at the age of 20 has sparked a wave of online reactions, with many praising the singer's courage and expressing sympathy for her ordeal.

One user wrote, "Miscarriages are awful. It is brave that they are sharing their story. This is something that is sadly common and should be discussed more. One of the reasons it isn’t discussed is because of those who have made disgusting comments on this post."

Another user added, "My heart goes out to Halsey."

Another comment reflected broader societal issues, stating, "Pretty much par for the course when you are a woman…hopefully someday we will get the respect we deserve as humans…"

"Halsey actually mentioned this in their 'A story like mine' poem, which they delivered at a women's march in 2018. It was incredibly powerful, I listen to it probably several times a year now considering the way the world is turning on women, " a user said.

"So sad," another user simply wrote.
