ROCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE: Despite the ongoing defamation trial, Donald Trump shows no signs of retracting from further slandering E Jean Carroll, who accused the former president of sexually assaulting her in early 1996.

The Republican frontrunner for denied the writer's accusations at a campaign rally speech in Rochester, New Hampshire, on Sunday, January 21, as reported by Meidas Touch.

He alleged that Reid Hoffman, the executive founder of LinkedIn, sponsored Carroll and called the case a "totally fabricated story." Trump further claimed the plaintiff's attorney, Roberta Kaplan, is a "political operative" who used to be "very close" to former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Notably, the defamation trial, which began on January 16, has been a dramatic rollercoaster. In one instance, Judge Lewis Kaplan even threatened to remove the former POTUS for interrupting the court proceedings.

Trump has made it a habit to keep making public statements against Carroll amid the ongoing trial. Denying the allegations in many of his campaign speeches and posting the same on Truth Social, he also labeled the judge overseeing the case as "biased" and "unfair."

Donald Trump may testify in E Jean Carroll defamation trial

According to The New York Times, Trump declared that he would be in court as the trial resumes on Monday, January 22.

As the Manhattan jury is about to decide on how much the White House hopeful should pay for defaming Carroll in 2019, Judge Kaplan is likely to ask him if he will take a stand. Trump has already suggested his intention to testify.

One said, "Another lawsuit !! Take every cent he has Carroll."

A person remarked, "Jury, please keep adding those zeros to the damages," while someone else expressed, "She gonna own Trump Tower soon. He can't stop running his mouth."

An individual commented, "When you've already been found guilty of defaming someone, the first thing a smart person might do is to stop defaming her."

"So is simply awarding her all of his assets a possible verdict or does the jury still need to come up with a number? It definitely seems no amount short of that will make a dent in his behavior," mentioned one more.

Another person quipped, "It's like he wants to give her all his money."
