LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Last week, the internet went into a frenzy with a rumor suggesting that former President Donald Trump might have let one rip in court.

On Monday's episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live,' host Jimmy Kimmel seized the opportunity to unleash a barrage of fart puns and jokes, much to the delight of his audience.

Jimmy Kimmel tackles Trump's alleged courtroom fart with humor

Kimmel began by setting the record straight, emphasizing that the rumor of Trump breaking wind in court lacked concrete evidence from journalists or courtroom observers.

While the claim circulated based on anonymous sources, Kimmel couldn't resist diving into the comedic goldmine it presented.

"I cannot in good conscience report that Trump was pumping gas like a Barstow Texaco," Kimmel quipped, "but I can report, to borrow a phrase he likes to use when spreading rumors, 'many people were saying 'Trump was farting in court.'"

The comedian then showcased the internet's response, including a trending Twitter topic dubbed "odor in the court." Kimmel's creative team even went as far as altering courtroom sketches, adding gas masks to the jury and emitting stink lines from Trump.

Kimmel strikes a balance between humor and integrity

Despite the humor, Kimmel cautioned viewers against jumping to conclusions or spreading misinformation. "There's no way to prove Donald Trump was the one who dealt it," he joked, urging against sharing edited clips with captions like "Julius Squeezer" or "The Shart of the Deal."

Kimmel didn't hold back on the puns, renaming Trump as "Gassolini" and sharing an edited video of a Trump speech, making it appear as if he were passing gas.

However, he emphasized the importance of context and urged against sharing such clips irresponsibly.

In his signature style, Kimmel wrapped up by highlighting the absurdity of it all. "None of these clips prove anything… and to give them a platform would be disrespectful and wrong," he concluded, balancing humor with a reminder of journalistic integrity.

Social media reactions

Social media users didn't hold back in their commentary on the Trump courtroom fart rumor.

One user said, "Trump must be FUMING over this episode. Jimmy Kimmel and MeidasTouch - his two least favorite shows. "

Another added, "He Knows the shart of the deal."

One commented, "I don’t think Donnie’s lawyer understands that watching court TV is not the same as going to law school."

Another said, "I don’t think Donnie’s lawyer understands that watching court TV is not the same as going to law school."

A user replied, "And if he's so innocent why isn't his loving wife, Melania, supporting him during his trial?"
