'He uses it just to write on': Internet can't keep calm as photo of Eminem using Blackberry in 2024 goes viral

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Eminem's recent photo has left internet users amazed and delighted, as they discovered that one of the greatest rappers of all time still uses a Blackberry phone in 2024, even though Blackberry shut down its servers in 2022.

While Eminem has enthralled his followers with the viral photo, he also faced criticism from social media users recently for his aggressive gesture towards 49ers fans while passionately supporting his favorite team, the Detroit Lions, on January 28.

The rapper was seen at Levi's Stadium, cheering on his team as they aimed for their first Super Bowl appearance in franchise history. He was spotted making a defiant double middle finger gesture towards San Francisco fans from his suite, which sparked outrage online.

Despite these controversies, Eminem's fans have consistently supported the rapper. When motivational speaker and psychologist Dr. Umar Johnson claimed in a podcast that Eminem is not the greatest rapper of all time because he is not Black, many of Eminem's fans criticized Johnson's statement.

Eminem stuck in past as he still uses a Blackberry

According to the Daily Mail, Eminem, also known as Marshall Mathers, has recently demonstrated his enduring loyalty to his Blackberry phone, despite the network shutdown over two years ago in 2022.

The 'Without Me' rapper was photographed using the outdated device, typing on its small Qwerty keyboard in an Instagram post shared by DJ Whoo Kid, 51, on Thursday.

As reported by the Daily Mail, Whoo Kid humorously captioned the post, "#Eminem was trying to figure out who ate his last mom’s spaghetti 🍝 box in the dressing room. I was like 😬🤷🏾‍♂️😈 @momsspaghettidetroit 🚨 I told him it was @iamdenaun 👀 and by the way yes."

Whoo Kid referred to the device in Eminem's hand and stated in the caption, "He still has a blackberry phone 📞"

According to the Daily Mail, Eminem, who is set to co-produce a documentary called 'Stans,' a reference to his 2000 hit song about fanatical fans, was seated on a couch beside Whoo Kid and Denaun Porter in a dressing room.

In the photo, the 'The Real Slim Shady' hitmaker was wearing a graphic T-shirt with Too Short's 'Short Dog's in the House' album cover.

Eminem completed his look with a nylon jacket, hood worn over a gray baseball cap, and black joggers for a relaxed ensemble, as seen in the picture, as per the Daily Mail.

He accessorized with black frame glasses, a shiny gold chain around his neck, and a flashy watch and bracelets as he typed away on his Blackberry.

The Daily Mail also noted that back in January 2022, key services for Blackberry were permanently shut down, meaning that Eminem's Blackberry device would only support calling and texting.
