HGTV star Christina Hall shared 'secret' to happy marriage to Josh Hall a week before she filed for divorce

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Renowned TV personality and real estate investor Christina Meursinge Hall has been in the news after filing for divorce from her third husband Josh Hall almost three years into their marriage.

This is her third high-profile split since her rise to popularity in 2013. Christina was previously married to TV celebrity and investor Tarek El Moussa from 2009 to 2016, and 'Wheeler Dealer's' co-host Ant Anstead until November 2020.

However, Christina had revealed what she believed to be the "secret" to maintaining a healthy marriage with Josh—only three days before the couple filed for divorce.

The 41-year-old HGTV personality appeared to be utilizing the lessons she obtained from her two unsuccessful marriages to her current marriage to her husband Josh of almost three years.

Christina married 'Flip or Flop' co-star Tarek El Moussa in 2009, and the two divorced in January 2018. They share two kids: daughter Taylor, 13, and son Braydon, 8.

She later married British TV personality Ant Anstead in December 2018; she filed for divorce from Ant in November 2020 which was eventually finalized in June 2021. They share a four-year-old son, Hudson.

In an interview with E! News, published on July 13, Christina revealed that "keep[ing] communication open" was a vital component of a happy marriage.

The 'Christina on the Coast' star pondered about what precisely supported the solid foundation she and her husband, Josh Hall, have established together, and the answer that immediately sprang to mind was "being communicative."

"Keep communication open and then have alone time when we can, whether it's date night, going on little trips—just things like that," Christina added while sharing the pragmatic key to their harmonious relationship.

Christina claimed that although the advice wasn't particularly groundbreaking or unnatural, that's part of its appeal. Couples who prioritize communication and "alone time" without any issues are probably doing well together, per Daily Mail.

However, it is unclear if Christina considered at the time that such characteristics adequately characterized her marriage. She did, however, sound as though she was in a great place in life.

According to People, Christina escalated her memory purge when she erased a three-year-old Instagram post revealing the beginning of her secret relationship with Josh and a post explaining how she and the 43-year-old realtor fell in love.

Additionally, she seems to have removed an Instagram post from July 2021 where she talked nostalgically about her first few months of dating Josh away from the spotlight and expressed how much she feared their relationship becoming public.

She said that she "wasn't in a state of fear or fight-or-flight" when she met her future husband in her long caption.

The HGTV star added that toward the end of 2020, she stopped using social media and started focusing on her spiritual well-being.

Christina also removed her wedding picture with Josh from Instagram amid the news of their divorce. After discreetly getting married in a small courtroom ceremony in 2021, the pair remarried in September 2022 in Hawaii in front of friends and family.

According to court documents obtained by People, Josh filed for a dissolution of marriage on Monday, July 15, citing "irreconcilable differences" nearly three years after they were married in October 2021.

Josh is requesting spousal support from Christina in the filed document. According to a close source, the HGTV personality has also filed for divorce.
