Appearing for an interview with 'Today', the ‘Saturday Night Live’ star’s wife opened up about reclaiming her own narrative after getting misrepresented several times prior.
The 41-year-old yoga instructor-turned-reality TV star’s interview with 'Today' came after she infamously scolded her husband during a red-carpet interview at Planet Hollywood on Tuesday, March 11. As reminiscent of her spat with Alec Baldwin, Hilaria expressed feeling frustrated whenever she is not able to voice her opinion, per Daily Mail.
Revealing the primary reason for their decision to give fans glimpses of their life in the TLC series ‘The Baldwins’ Hilaria said, “Since I met Alec a lot of people have spoken for me, have taken my narrative. I don't want that anymore.”

She continued, “This is an example for my children to hold your head up high and take control of your own narrative and we did it during a very vulnerable time.”
“Everyday is a process and everyday is staying together and being together,” noted Hilaria, referencing the family’s emotional turmoil when the ‘30 Rock’ actor was undergoing trial for charges of involuntary manslaughter of ‘Rust’ cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
''I think the way we've opened up on the show is really good answer to that. It takes courage and letting go [to be open],” she continued, before gushing, “We're a very close knit family and we spend a lot of time together.”

The tumultuous time during the trial only brought them closer. Hilaria said, “That was true before and I think we are only closer afterwards.”

As the interviewer asked whether there would be a second season of ‘The Baldwins’, Alec quipped, it would be named 'The Hilaria Show’.
His wife, meanwhile, added, “No, I think we are going to see, you know, we're going to see how it feels to be out there.”
As Alec interjected and said, “It's gonna be great. You're a winner,” his wife appeared to express her displeasure, saying, “Oh my God. When I'm talking, you're not talking.”
Though the actor said, “I’m sorry,” Hilaria reiterated, “When I'm talking, you're not talking.”
She, nevertheless, joked after turning toward the interviewer, “This is why we'll just have to cut him out of the show.”
