Hollywood divas baffle fans with skinnier-than-ever looks at 2025 SAG Awards amid Ozempic craze

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards concluded as a raging success on Sunday, February 23. While Timothee Chalamet, Demi Moore, and Jessica Gunning swept the big honors of the night, several other stars drew the spotlight for various reasons.
Though Moore won the Best Actress award for 'The Substance', the 62-year-old actress, along with other A-listers including Selena Gomez, Kathy Bates, and Brooke Shields also drew the fans' attention for appearing slimmer than earlier, sparking discussion about the prolific use of weight loss drugs like Ozempic.
Demi Moore

Referring to the actress' much-slimmer appearance at the award ceremony, a netizen wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Demi Moore looking really skinny."
Moore followed a strict diet and exercise regimen to prepare for her role in 'The Substance', as per the Daily Mail. For the award show, the mother of three rocked a black drop-waist leather dress that showcased her toned figure.
On Moore's thin appearance, a New York-based weight loss doctor, Dr Sue Decotiis, told the outlet, "Demi’s collar bones are really prominent. It looks like there’s no fat there at all. You can see her tendons in her neck."
Adding that the pronounced clavicle is a solid "giveaway" of Ozempic use, the doctor said, "The people who've lost dramatic weight, and especially with those weight loss drugs, it's almost like their head looks too big for their body."
Moore hasn't addressed taking Ozempic or any other drugs to lose weight.
Selena Gomez

Similarly, the 'Emilia Perez' actress Selena Gomez too sparked curiosity among fans as she appeared visibly slimmer in her structured Celine dress at the SAG Awards.
The actress has, however, previously talked about her lupus medication being responsible for her fluctuating weight. During a TikTok livestream in 2023, Gomez shared, "[When I'm taking it, I] tend to hold a lot of water weight, and that happens very normally. When I'm off of it, I tend to lose weight," as per People.
She added, "I just wanted to say and encourage anyone out there who feels any sort of shame for exactly what they're going through, and no one knows the real story."
Brooke Shields

Brooke Shields dazzled in a sparkly silver off-shoulder dress as she walked the red carpet at the SAG Awards. While the actress' million-dollar smile lit up the entire room, her toned figure was unmissable.
Shields has been facing Ozempic speculations for a while, as Newsbreak reported in January. However, she hasn't admitted to taking weight loss drugs and, in fact, has previously stated that she is quite picky about medications.
Kathy Bates

Kathy Bates has previously come clean about using Ozempic for weight loss. For the 2025 SAG Awards, the 76-year-old opted for a black pantsuit that showcased her new figure.
She has previously shared that she lost 80 lbs after opting for a healthier lifestyle and shed an additional 20 lbs after using Ozempic.
In October, she told People, as reported by Daily Mail, "There’s been a lot of talk that I just was able to do this because of Ozempic. But I have to impress upon people out there that this was hard work for me, especially during the pandemic. It's very hard to say you've had enough."
Bates revealed that she focused on her health after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes back in 2017.
"I ate because I was afraid, and I ate because it was a FU to my self-esteem," shared the veteran actress, before adding, "[Diabetes] runs in my family, and I'd seen what my father had gone through. He had had a leg amputation. One of my sisters is dealing with it very seriously, and it terrified me. It scared me straight."
