Jessica Biel details her airborne nightmare in series of lighthearted TikTok videos
In the first video, captioned 'Airplane Chronicles Part 1', Biel explained that she was on a short flight that could not land "because of this crazy snowstorm." She said the storm was "making the runway inhospitable to land."
Staying positive despite the circumstance, Biel noted that she had come prepared with plenty of her "favorite snacks" to tide her over, showing off pistachios, a fruit bar, clementines, and more. She quipped that her one regret was not packing a lunch but said she was happy she had remembered to bring "triple of each" snack.
Ending the first video on a humorous note, Biel held up a mini karaoke machine and asked viewers how much her fellow passengers would "literally want to kill me" if she started a singalong. She concluded by advising others to "bring your own lunch" and "bring your snacks on the plane."
In a follow-up video, Biel provided an update that after hours stuck on the plane, she and the other passengers were brought to the Salt Lake City airport but not allowed to disembark. She said the plane was attempting to refuel and take off again to see if weather conditions had improved enough to land safely, noting "if not, [we'll] come back to L.A."
"We are going to take back off and see if the wind has calmed down and if they have cleared the ice off the runway," Biel explained and added, "See if it’s possible to land without getting blown out of the sky."
Luckily, Biel was later able to share a positive resolution, posting one more video with the update: "We finally landed. We made it. Wow, that was nuts." Clearly relieved to be back on the ground after the harrowing experience, the actress said she hoped everyone else facing travel issues was having "safe travels wherever they're off to."
