AUSTIN, TEXAS: Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is pushing back against what he calls an "extortion plot" after being targeted with a hefty lawsuit alleging sexual assault by Victoria Shores and her legal team.

Prescott's lawyer was initially sent to negotiate a settlement after Shores claimed potential sexual assault by the quarterback in January.

However, the situation took a dramatic turn when Prescott filed a hefty lawsuit against Shores and her legal representatives in Collin County, Texas.

The lawsuit includes charges of defamation, slander, defamation per se, civil extortion/duress, business disparagement, tortious interference with current and/or prospective business relations, civil conspiracy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Dak Prescott denies allegations of sexual assault and extortion

Dak Prescott, the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, is facing serious allegations of sexual assault and extortion by Victoria Shores and her legal team.

The situation escalated when Prescott's lawyer received a letter from Shores's attorneys on January 16, claiming that Prescott sexually assaulted Shores in February 2017.

"Ms. Shores has had to live with this pain and trauma for 7 years," the letter reads. "It affected her relationship with her fiance and her everyday existence so much that she had to attend therapy and counseling and will require future therapy and counseling. She has suffered mental anguish that is unimaginable when dealing with the trauma of being a sexual assault victim.

"Despite the tragic events, she is willing to forego pursuing criminal charges, along with disclosing this information to the public, in exchange for compensating her for the mental anguish she has suffered. Ms Shores's damages are valued at the sum of $100,000,000.00. You have until February 16, 2024, to respond to this demand letter," the letter further wrote.

The letter detailed Shores's alleged suffering over the past seven years, stating that the incident had significantly impacted her relationships and mental well-being.

It demanded $100 million in compensation for the trauma she endured, threatening to make the accusations public if Prescott did not comply.

In response, Prescott's lawyer issued a statement denouncing the allegations as part of an extortion plot.

"Recently, Mr Prescott found himself the subject of an extortion plot," the lawyer wrote in the statement. "The Defendant and her legal team have threatened to go public with a completely fabricated story of sexual assault from nearly a decade ago, and demanded that Mr Prescott immediately pay $100 Million in exchange for her not pressing false charges with the authorities."

Prescott's lawyer confirmed that the matter has been reported to the appropriate authorities, and Prescott is fully cooperating with their investigation.
