Hugh Grant's interesting stories behind naming his two youngest daughters
When asked about his middle name, Hugh Grant confessed, jokingly, “I had very unkind parents,” before adding that he, too, opted for even "worse" names for his children.
His eight-year-old daughter, he revealed, is named Lulu Danger Grant. Explaining the choice, he recounted, "I was in a bit of a panic with my wife on the day we named her."
"We thought it might be nice for her when she was older if she could say in bars that her middle name was Danger,” he added.
The actor also revealed that his youngest daughter, age five, is named Blue.
Grant shared that the name was actually suggested by his son, John, who, when asked what to name his new sister, first suggested “Kevin,” inspired by his favorite character from 'Despicable Me'.
“And we did think about calling her Kevin," joked Grant, adding, “but then we said, ‘You better think of something else.’ So he said Blue, because it was his favorite color,” according to Page Six.
The 'Notting Hill' star shares both Lulu and Blue with his wife Anna Eberstein, whom he married in 2018.

Known for his sometimes grumpy persona, Grant who keeps his children away from the spotlight has previously shared that fatherhood has changed him profoundly.
In a 2020 interview with the Los Angeles Times, he said that becoming a father made him “a bit softer.”
Reflecting on how it impacted his career, he said, “Instead of being a half-atrophied, middle-aged golfer, I’m a man with a life full of love.”
“I love my wife, I love my children. They love me. And, suddenly, very unusual for an Englishman, I have all this access to emotion,” continued Grant.
The actor, whose career spans over four decades, said that his children have brought a new depth to his life and acting, making it “hard to keep it down” at times.
