Ines de Ramon didn't want Brad Pitt to hold onto senseless 'animosity' against Angelina Jolie
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have officially settled their divorce after years of legal disputes.
Pitt’s girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, reportedly encouraged him to move forward in the divorce settlement and focus on positivity.
Ines de Ramon hoped Brad Pitt would 'find peace' and move forward
Ines De Ramon, 32, was eager for Brad Pitt to resolve his ongoing conflicts with Angelina Jolie as the legal battle stretched on for eight years.
“Ines [wants] Brad to find peace, forgive and move on,” a source told Us Weekly.
De Ramon also hoped Pitt would not harbor unnecessary resentment toward Jolie.
“From her perspective, it doesn’t make sense for him to hold on to all the animosity,” the source said, adding that she wished her calm demeanor could help Pitt, 61, “patch things up with Angelina.”
Angelina Jolie felt 'relieved' the divorce settlement was finalized
Angelina Jolie, 49, first filed for divorce in 2016, which led to disputes over their $164 million French winery, Chateau Miraval, and custody arrangements for their six children—Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, Knox, 16, and Vivienne, 16.
Although they had been legally single since 2019, they formally settled their divorce on December 30.
“More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr Pitt," Jolie’s lawyer James Simon said in a statement to the media following the divorce settlement.
"She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family,” Simon said.
“This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over,” he added.
Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon are 'madly in love'
Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon were first linked in November 2022, shortly after she separated from her ex-husband, 'Vampire Diaries' star Paul Wesley.
Despite Pitt’s complicated divorce proceedings, de Ramon remained committed to their relationship.
“Being with her has brought new meaning to his life,” an insider told the publication, describing their bond. “Brad can’t rave enough about how madly in love he is.”
The source added, “They complement each other.” Another source mentioned in September 2024 that Pitt and de Ramon are “super in love” and looking forward to their future together.
“Brad loves introducing Ines to his friends because she’s such a joy to be around,” the source said. “She brings out the best in Brad.”
