Insider reveals why Timothee Chalamet ditched Kylie Jenner at Coachella

INDIO, CALIFORNIA: Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner had a lot of fun at this year’s Coachella music festival. But it did not end without some “awkward and weird” behind-the-scenes drama, tipsters have revealed.

The A-list pair were all over each other during the event, as reported by the Daily Mail. They were seen continuously kissing and cuddling. 

But the PDA disappeared when the makeup mogul went to meet her ex, Travis Scott, before his performance on Saturday night, April 12, in Palm Desert, California.

Timothee Chalamet thought a meetup with Travis Scott would be “awkward and weird”, so he preferred not to go along with his girlfriend Kylie Jenner when she and her seven-year-old daughter Stormi reunited with the rapper backstage.

A mole said, “Travis didn't see Timothee at all, but [Travis] would not have cared if he did. He would never avoid him.”

“In fact, it was the other way around. Kylie took the kids, Kendall, and bodyguards to Travis' backstage area so he could see Stormi. But Timothee didn't go. He wouldn't over concerns it would be awkward and weird,” they explained.

It is, however, understandable why Timothee Chalamet chose to avoid the ‘FE!N’ singer.

In the past, Scott allegedly took a dig at the 29-year-old actor via his song 'Meltdown'. 

Referring to Chalamet’s eccentric chocolatier character in ‘Wonka’, he sang, “Chocolate AP and chocolate the Vs, got the Willy Wonka factory / Burn a athlete like it's calories, find another flame hot as me.”

Also, as per a source, who previously revealed that the father-of-two thought Jenner romancing ‘A Complete Unknown’ star was a “joke”.

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott are 'amicable’

Jenner and Scott share two children, but they split in January 2023 after having an on-and-off relationship for years.

The duo, however, has maintained an “amicable” relationship because of their young children.

It has also been said that Scott is a doting father who even shouted out to Stormi while singing 'Mamacita' at Coachella. He reportedly said, “Stormi, let's rock.”

A second insider has claimed, “Travis spends a lot of time with his kids. He brings them to shows and to games and is with them more than anyone knows. They are obsessed with their daddy and Travis doesn't see Timothee as a threat whatsoever.”

Regarding Jenner’s children — Stormi and Aire — the source continued that it’s doubtful they will ever consider Chalamet as their father.

The source said, “Stormi is a huge daddy's girl, so Timothee will most likely always be nothing more than ‘mom's boyfriend’ even if she marries him.”

“As much as Kylie wants them to be open to looking at Timothee as a father figure, it is unlikely that this will ever happen. The kids like Timothee – but they will never look at him as dad,” they added.
