Kim Kardashian faces backlash for letting North West, 11, go to Coachella with just bodyguards

INDIO, CALIFORNIA: Kim Kardashian was blasted online after she reportedly sent her 11-year-old daughter North West to The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival with just bodyguards.

The preteen went to the annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, last weekend, The Mirror reported.

But she was spotted without her mother. Instead, she was joined by her cousin Stormi Webster and her two besties, who were guided by bodyguards.

Netizens find North West attending Coachella alone ‘insane’

North West posted TikTok videos from the event that showed her wearing a grey zip-up hoodie, a pleated skirt paired with a pair of baggy knee-length pinstripe shorts. She also added a pair of black Nike socks and slippers to her outfit.

Though Coachella can be attended by people from any age group, some people felt Kim should have accompanied her eldest child.

In a since-deleted Reddit thread, one user commented, “Kim using Coachella as daycare is so funny to me tho,” as per The Mirror.

Another user wrote, “So weird oh my god why can't she just be a kid.”

One individual said, “Letting your 11 year old go to a place where most of the adults are doing hard drugs is f------ insane to me.”

“Considering the family she comes from, very on brand,” a critic posted.

An individual on X remarked, “I agree. A bit too young, even if they were escorted by bodyguards."

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Kendall and Kylie Jenner also attended Coachella to promote their alcohol brands 818 Tequila and Sprinter. Timothee Chalamet was also present with Kylie.

However, this was not the first time Kim and Kanye West’s eldest daughter's age-inappropriate antics made headlines.

She was in the news earlier for doing a song and music video with FKA Twigs for her album 'EUSEXUA', where she rapped in Japanese, as per the Daily Orange.

North also featured in a song with disgraced rap mogul Diddy, who is currently behind bars facing several severe charges. Her socialite mother, who also has three other children, was against ‘Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine’.

But her father, who produced the song, released it.

In a now-deleted tweet, the rapper said, “LONELY ROADS STILL GO TO SUNSHINE new song by PUFF DADDY feat. His son KING COMBS my daughter NORTH WEST and new Yeezy artist from Chicago Jasmine Williams,” as per Us Weekly.
