The reference to Swift's mention comes in the title track of 'The Tortured Poets Department' album released on April 19.

Charlie Puth says he's nervous being 'overly honest in my music'
Nearly a month after Swift's shout-out to Puth, he announced his new music 'Hero' will be released on May 24.
Although he did not directly confirm that the song was inspired by Swift's mention, Puth hinted at it as he suggested that her acknowledgment catalyzed the release of his new single, according to Variety.
Sharing a video of himself debuting a portion of 'Hero' with the text "These last couple weeks have been really crazy for obvious reasons, but I wanted to share something with you" written over the video.
“This is a song I wrote about my friend called ‘Hero.’ Sometimes I get a little nervous being overly honest in my music which is why this was sitting on my hard drive for awhile," he said.
Acknowledging the whirlwind of attention surrounding him, Puth said, "But I think someone out there was giving me a sign that I needed to release it.
"So, I declare ‘Hero’ will be out everywhere on May 24th as the first single of my new album. Thank you for your support…. you know who you are," he added.
