WASHINGTON, DC: Joe Biden has voiced concerns over the potential aftermath of the 2024 presidential elections as he claims Donald Trump will not accept the results if he loses.

During an interview with Erin Burnett on Wednesday, May 8, Biden expressed his certainty about the former president's unwillingness to concede defeat as he cited Trump's past behaviors and statements, according to OK Magazine.

Joe Biden insinuates Donald Trump only loves America if he wins

Speaking to Burnett, Biden talked about Trump's potential reaction to the election result if he loses as he said, “The guy is not a Democrat with a small d."

“How many court cases do they have, Supreme Court cases? They’ve all said this is a totally legitimate election," he continued.

"He may not accept the outcome of the election? I promise you, he won’t. Which is dangerous. You can’t only love your country when you win,” Biden added.

Joe Biden says world leader fear a second Trump presidency

In the interview, Biden further revealed that the world leaders have expressed apprehension to him about the prospect of a second Trump presidency, particularly in light of the businessman's pledges to prosecute his political opponents if reelected.

“He means it. I mean, listen to what he’s saying," Biden told Burnett.

Donald Trump previously said he would accept election results only if 'everything's honest'

MEAWW previously reported that Trump said he would not accept the 2024 election results if it is not "honest."

“If everything’s honest, I’d gladly accept the results,” said the 77-year-old, adding, “If it’s not, you have to fight for the right of the country."

"But if everything’s honest, which we anticipate it will be — a lot of changes have been made over the last few years — but if everything’s honest, I will absolutely accept the results,” he said.

However, his repeated insinuations and past actions suggest his readiness to challenge the outcome of the upcoming November elections.

The former president's remarks come against the backdrop of his ongoing hush money trial in which he is accused of falsifying his business records to conceal his payments to adult film actress Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 elections.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 9: Former U.S. President Donald Trump returns from a break during his trial for allegedly covering up hush money payments at Manhattan Criminal Court on May 9, 2024, in New York City. Trump was charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records last year, which prosecutors say was an effort to hide a potential sex scandal, both before and after the 2016 presidential election. Internet reacts to Joe Biden's claims about Donald Trump's rejection of election results if he loses

Reacting to Biden's claim that Trump would not accept the election results if he did not win, one user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, "Be ready, be very ready. We may have to protect our democracy from the Magas."

One user wrote, "Tells me there’s gonna be some cheating going on," while another user commented, "Not if it’s discovered that cheating has occurred. I won’t either."

"He knows it is over. Staff are updating resumes," a netizen commented, and another user wrote, "Well it sounds like he knows what the outcome will be like. Given his current intellectual status."
