In the recent episode of the 'Amy and TJ Podcast,' Amy Robach expressed that race had not been an issue in her relationship with TJ Holmes. The couple aired their on-air dispute, with Holmes expressing concerns about potential racial commentary.

Despite the fact that race had never been an issue in their relationship, Robach, 50, admitted she was "shocked".

Holmes emphasized that the dispute should not be perceived as a racial issue, stating he was not yelling or screaming. Robach, as a White woman in a relationship with a Black man, acknowledged the constant learning curve and admitted that the racial element hadn't initially crossed her mind.

“It is going to I fear be viewed as a Black man beating up on a White woman,” Holmes said on Thursday’s, January 25, episode of the “Amy and TJ Podcast. “Obviously, I was not yelling, screaming or doing anything.”

Holmes, 46, shared his fear of speaking his mind due to potential racial commentary. Robach, 50, praised the respectfulness of their argument but noted that racial elements became apparent as they discussed it.

“There have been a lot of things that I have learned personally … that would never have crossed my mind,” she shared.

“Race, the fact that you’re Black and I’m White, would’ve never crossed my mind, and that’s kind of to your point.”

Robach called out Holmes for becoming "moody" on his "really bad days" and expressed a desire for him to confide in her.

Holmes, on the other hand, claimed that when things get tough, the "last thing" he wants to do is "tell you what I need."

The discussion highlighted the challenges of communication in relationships and the importance of mutual understanding.
