NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: People on the internet are quite sure about Nike's new commercial, claiming it's mocking the football quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes.

The ad was released soon after the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Chiefs in the Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, February 9, as reported by Us Weekly.

The athletic footwear and apparel brand cheered loud for the winning team with the help of Kermit the Frog—a Muppet character.

Nike celebrates the Philadelphia Eagles' Super Bowl win with the 'Bein' Green' song

The new ad, featuring Kermit the Frog's famous song, 'Bein' Green', was shared on Nike's official Instagram page as well as on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, "It’s Good to be Green," seemingly referring to the Eagles' team color.

The song’s lyrics go like this: "It’s not that easy bein’ green. Having to spend each day / The color of the leaves. When I think it could be nicer bein’ red or yellow or gold / Or something much more colorful like that."

"When green is all there is to be / It could make you wonder why / But, why wonder? Why wonder? / I’m green and it’ll do fine / It’s beautiful, and I think it’s what I want to be," the lyrics continue.

The ad showcases the Eagles' journey, including their Super Bowl LVII loss to the Chiefs, culminating in their 40-22 win in Super Bowl LIX.

Many netizens have theorized that Nike used the 'Bein' Green' song in the celebration commercial to mock star quarterback Mahomes, whose hoarse voice has often been compared to that of the anthropomorphic green frog.
