LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ken Jeong and Joel McHale recently faced significant criticism for making jokes about comedian Jo Koy's Golden Globes hosting during the 75th International Emmy Awards.

This year's Emmys became a memorable event with certain moments capturing the attention of social media users.

Princess Poppy, a member of RuPaul's Drag Race, turned heads at the Emmys by donning a green goblin-inspired outfit, earning comparisons to an alien.

The Emmys also became a source of nostalgia for social media users as the 'Grey's Anatomy' cast reunion took place, sparking joy among fans who couldn't contain their excitement on social media.

According to Deadline, Jeong and McHale, who reunited at the Emmy Awards to present the Outstanding Reality Competition award, took a jab at Koy's poorly received monologue at the recent Golden Globes.

Jeong kicked off the banter, stating, "Reality TV competitions are better than they’ve ever been. In fact, reality is the most noble of callings, even more than medicine and I should know." McHale quickly interjected, “You were thrown out of medicine,” He continued humorously, "OK, he killed a guy."

As reported by Deadline, Jeong responded, "You can’t say that! The instruments that almost killed that dude were the ones the nurses left in. The ones that saved his life, I left in. Besides, I only had the gig for 10 days at that point so give me a break.”

Deadline notes that this playful exchange was aimed at Koy, who struggled during his Golden Globes opening monologue. Koy attributed the performance issues to his writers and defended his jokes, saying, “I wrote some of these, and they’re the ones you’re laughing at.” He also pointed out, "I got the gig 10 days ago."

Koy is facing criticism not only from social media users but also from celebrities for his performance at the Golden Globes. His ex-girlfriend Chelsea Handler, who was hosting the Critics Choice Awards, recently called him out for his hosting duties.
