LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The glitz and glamour of Hollywood award show red carpets always come with some drama, but the drama level reached new heights at this year's Golden Globes when E! News chief correspondent Keltie Knight realized the massive diamond from her ring had gone missing, as reported by HuffPost.

What followed was a frantic search involving pleading social media videos and even the host getting on hands and knees combing through the carpet, as her fellow celebs and the internet looked on concerned about the fate of the estimated $75K sparkler.

Keltie Knight realized her diamond was missing while reporting live at Golden Globes

E!’s chief correspondent Keltie Knight suffered a panic-inducing situation while reporting live from the 81st Annual Golden Globes on Sunday night, January 7. The 41-year-old LadyGang podcast host was in the midst of her red carpet coverage when she suddenly realized that the massive four-carat diamond from her ring was missing.

“Hi everyone, Golden Globe emergency!” Knight said in a video clip she quickly posted to Instagram and TikTok begging her fellow celebrities to help locate the gem. “If you're a celebrity and you see a four-carat diamond on the red carpet, please return it to Keltie Knight at E!, cause it's gone and it's real.”

The sparkling jewel was estimated by diamond expert and Atlanta-based jeweler Ronnie Agami to be worth around $75,000. “It’s crazy that the diamond came out of the bezel. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen that happen before,” Agami admitted to Daily Mail.

It was unclear if the ring was Knight’s wedding ring from her husband of over ten years, Chris Knight, or another accessory. But the missing diamond sent Knight into an understandably frantic state as evidenced by the behind-the-scenes photos and videos she shared on her Instagram Stories showing her desperately combing the red carpet on her hands and knees.

Internet expresses shock and sympathy over Keltie Knight’s plight at Golden Globes

The bizarre incident quickly gained attention on social media once Knight posted about it. Many internet users expressed shock and sympathy over the E! reporter’s traumatic experience.

One concerned Facebook user questioned the absence of assistance, asking, "Why isn't anyone helping her? Where are the gentlemen?" Another expressed optimism, saying, "I hope it turns up!"

Among the supportive messages, a third person shared, "Hope she gets it back." Another individual conveyed their prayers, saying, "I pray someone find it and return." The intensity of the situation struck a chord with a fifth user, who empathized, "OMG if I lost my solitaire I’d be beside myself too! I’m sure she has the ring insured."

Amidst these sentiments, a final user queried simply, "Insurance?"

Keltie Knight provided update on diamond after completing red carpet hosting duties

After completing her red carpet hosting duties, Knight provided another update while snacking on Jersey Mike’s in the bath. "Update: finished the red carpet and now in bath with a @jerseymikes + still no diamond," she wrote alongside a crying emoji, indicating she still had not located the diamond.

Analyzing video footage, Knight was at least able to pinpoint where the diamond likely dropped off. “It was lost between our platform and photo line which was a pretty short walk,” she deduced. “It’s somewhere on someone’s shoe or in that carpet.”

Vowing to continue the search by “calling around,” the author and podcaster seems determined to get to the bottom of what happened to her expensive jewel on that Globes red carpet. Though she worries the “really gone” diamond may never be retrieved.
