WASHINGTON DC: Sen Mike Lee 'wholeheartedly' endorsed the Republican frontrunner Donald Trump's 2024 White House run, reported The Hill.

Appearing on Laura Ingraham's Fox News show on Friday, January 12, the Senator from Utah said it is time to support the former President, and the American voters can choose between 'order' over 'chaos'.

"Look, whether you like Donald Trump or not, whether you agree with everything he says or not, he is our one opportunity to choose order over chaos and putting America first over America last," Lee said on 'The Ingraham Angle.'

"It's time to get behind him."

Sharing the news on X (formerly Twitter), Lee said that America is facing a 'binary choice' despite its likeness towards Trump. "Biden refuses to enforce our border, prosecutes his opponents, & embraces policies that make life unaffordable for hardworking Americans. I'll take the mean tweets. I choose Trump," he wrote.

Lee endorsed Trump just around 72 hours before the Iowa caucus.

Trump holds a significant lead in polls over GOP rivals, such as Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, and Vivek Ramaswamy. The Republican members of the Hawkeye state will choose their presidential nominee on January 15, kick-starting the election year.

Sen Mike Lee states Donald Trump kept his promises

Underscoring his endorsement, Lee says that the former President kept his promises in the campaign, giving a picture of what kind of President he would be.

"And so, whether you agree with him on every point or not, if you are not content with the status quo — the status quo of lawlessness, of putting America last — it's time to get behind Donald Trump, and I wholeheartedly endorse Donald J. Trump in his bid for the presidency in 2024," he said.

Including Lee, the former President now has 21 endorsements from Republican Senators. On the other hand, his opponents, Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley, failed to get at least a single endorsement from a sitting senator.

In addition to the growing support, the top five members of House GOP leadership, the last one being Majority Whip Tom Emmer, also announced their endorsements for Trump in the 2024 presidential race.
