LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sunny Hostin, co-host of the popular daytime talk show 'The View,' didn't mince words when discussing former President Donald Trump's recent behavior in court.

During a segment on Wednesday's episode, Hostin discussed Trump's ongoing legal battles and their potential implications for his political future, especially in the upcoming general election.

Sunny Hostin expresses shock at Trump's poll numbers despite legal challenges

Hostin started by expressing her surprise at Trump's ability to remain competitive with President Joe Biden in the polls despite confronting multiple legal challenges.

She pointed out Trump's history as a one-term, twice-impeached president with multiple criminal charges and allegations of sexual abuse.

"I'm so shocked that this is all the Republican Party had to offer," Hostin remarked, highlighting the surprising level of support Trump still enjoys among some voters.

From a legal standpoint, Hostin suggested that Trump's criminal cases could have a negative impact on his candidacy.

She cited polling data indicating that a significant portion of Americans are less likely to vote for Trump because of the criminal charges against him, particularly those related to hush money payments.

"But I would like to start with the fact that I am so shocked that the Republican Party has a nominee who is a former one-term twice impeached, indicted with 88 criminal charges and found guilty of sexual abuse, liable for sexual abuse," Hostin said.

Donald Trump's courtroom behavior draws criticism from Hostin

However, it was Trump's courtroom conduct that really seemed to irk Hostin. She referenced reports of Trump allegedly farting in the courtroom, a detail that has garnered attention in the media and on social media platforms.

"He's just losing, and he's farting up a storm in the courtroom," Hostin said, implying that Trump's behavior reflects poorly on his character and suitability for office.

Hostin's co-host, Joy Behar, chimed in with a humorous suggestion, saying, "They need to get him some Imodium," in reference to Trump's reported flatulence.

Joy Behar appreciates young viewers' engagement in critical issues

The segment ended with Behar expressing gratitude to younger viewers for their interest in pressing issues such as inflation, healthcare, gun violence, and climate change. She emphasized the importance of younger generations in shaping the future of the country.

"Young people, your interest in pressing issues such as inflation, healthcare, gun violence, protecting democracy, reproductive rights, and climate change, with a staggering 64% engagement, is commendable. Thank you. Thank you, young people, because we're relying on you to save the country and the world."
