WASHINGTON, DC: There's been quite the drama on Capitol Hill of late, starting with the surprise appearance of Hunter Biden during a House Oversight Committee hearing where the Republicans were deciding whether to hold the first son in contempt after he declined to show up to a deposition in December.

Raising more eyebrows, Democratic congressman Robert Garcia channeled 'The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' star Heather Gay as he tore into former President Donald Trump and his alleged business dealings with foreign governments.

Robert Garcia rants against Donald Trump

The clip went viral on social media as the congressman quoted Gay during a particularly heated scene in the show's Season 4 finale. Garcia himself posted the video of his speech on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “RECEIPTS. PROOF. TIMELINE. SCREENSHOTS. And EVERYTHING we need to prove Donald Trump took illegal payments from foreign governments 💅🏽”.

“And what do we have as Democrats? We have receipts. Proof. A timeline. Screenshots. We have everything we need to prove conclusively that foreign governments were funneling money through Trump Properties and into Donald Trump’s pockets, all in violation of the Constitution,” Garcia fumed in the video.

According to Deadline, Gay confronts fellow housewife Monica Garcia in the season finale of 'RHOSLC' after learning she was operating a fan account about the Bravo reality series exposing the stars she was trying to befriend.

“This is how you know I’m telling the truth,” Gay shouts at her co-star. “I have your perfect formula. Receipts. Proof. Timeline. Screenshots. F***ing everything to prove that you are a f***ing bully and a f***ing troll and that you don’t deserve to be at this table or anywhere near any of us for the way you’ve treated us.”

The California congressman's rant was reshared by Gay on her X account. Meanwhile, here's the dramatic moment from the RHOSLC Season 4 finale that inspired Garcia:

"Not you referencing a line from reality TV," another wrote.

"Str8 men wondering what this is about," someone else joked.

"Need more LGBTQ+ representation in Congress! I was the only one in the room who laughed!" a comment read.

"Using reality TV quotes on our reality TV former president for his wrongdoings while he was president," another quipped.

House Democrats' report about Trump's businesses

A recent report from Democrats alleged that Trump's businesses received payments from more than 20 countries during his tenure. Trump's hotels in Washington, Las Vegas, and New York allegedly received compensation from various foreign governments and government-controlled entities.

"They ranged from the People's Republic of China to Saudi Arabia to the Democratic Republic of the Congo to Malaysia to Albania to Kosovo," the report stated. "These countries spent — often lavishly — on apartments and hotel stays at Donald Trump's properties."

Published on January 4, the report stated that Trump's businesses had received upwards of least $7.8 million in foreign payments during his presidency, which Democrats argued was a violation of the constitution.

"President Trump never sought or received Congress's approval to keep these foreign payments, as the Constitution requires," it added.

Commenting on the report at a Fox News town hall on Wednesday, January 10, the former president said it was "a small amount of money."

"That's a small amount of money. You know, it sounds like a lot of money. That's small," Trump quipped. "I was doing services for them. People were staying in these massive hotels, these beautiful hotels," he explained, adding, "I don't get $8 million for doing nothing."
