Stephen Nedoroscik recreates viral Olympics ritual at 2024 Emmy Awards

Actress and director Katie Aselton captured the moment and shared it on social media, delighting fans who recognized the signature ritual.

She captured her Instagram post, "Caught @stephen_nedoroscik right before he went onstage at the @televisionacad to present an Emmy." 

Nedoroscik, dressed in a sleek black suit and bowtie, was seated with fellow Olympian Ilona Maher, along with actors Jane Lynch and Brendan Hunt.

The photo showed him with his head back, eyes shut, and hands clasped—a scene reminiscent of his pre-competition ritual in Paris.

Nedoroscik’s composed demeanor wasn't just for show; it mirrored his preparation before securing a bronze medal in the pommel horse event at the Olympics.

His ritual has since become part of his brand, capturing public interest and sparking light-hearted commentary online.

During an appearance on 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon', Nedoroscik explained the reason behind his seemingly meditative state before competitions.

"I was doing my breathing exercises and visualizing a lot," said the two-time Olympic medalist, detailing how this routine helped him maintain focus amid the high-pressure environment of the Olympic Games.

He recounted the lengthy wait time before competing in the all-around final, saying, "I was waiting around five hours to compete and represent [at the all-around final]. We get there earlier and then warm up and then march out and compete. So finally when it got to horse, I needed to calm down."

Internet in splits as Stephen Nedoroscik recreates viral Olympics moment at Emmy Awards

Stephen Nedoroscik once again managed to amuse the netizens by recreating the viral Olympics moment right before presenting an Emmy Award. 

One Facebook user quipped, "He is living an amazing 15 minutes of fame!!!" Another remarked, "Oh honey, he fell asleep."

On Instagram, users joined in the fun with comments like "Lol that DWTS rehearsal is hard!!!" Nedoroscik has been confirmed to be part of 'Dancing With The Stars' Season 33

"He was running through his routine in his mind so he could be sure and stick the landing," remarked another person. 

Over on X (formerly Twitter), the jesting continued, with one user noting, "Lol Stephen knows what's up gotta catch those zzz's before the big show!"
