NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene doubled down on her incessant attacks on Speaker Mike Johnson after the House of Representatives passed the $95 billion foreign aid bills on Saturday, April 20.

According to CNN, three bills were passed providing funding to Ukraine, Israel, and the Indo-Pacific region, while a fourth bill dealt with sanctions on Iran and a measure that could lead to a TikTok ban.

The bills will be reportedly combined into a single package and transferred to the Senate, where Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said that it would be put to vote on Tuesday, April 23.

The bipartisan effort has drawn flak from some far-right members of the House GOP, who are pushing for the removal of Mike Johnson from the chair of the Speaker.

Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene's statement

The US Representative from Georgia had filed a motion to oust Speaker Johnson back in February, and in light of the foreign funding bills being passed, has been backed by Reps Thomas Massie and Paul Gosar.

Taking to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, Greene wrote, "Mike Johnson betrayed America once again. After doing nothing to secure America’s Southern border, reauthorizing FISA to spy on the American people without a warrant, fully funding Joe Biden’s DOJ that has indicted President Trump 91 times, and giving Biden’s political gestapo a brand new FBI building bigger than the Pentagon, Speaker Johnson just sent $61 billion to fund the proxy war against Russia in Ukraine."

"House Republicans and the American people would be stronger without his disloyalty and betrayal of his principles," she continued. "Now it’s time for my colleagues to go home and hear from their constituents. We need a new Speaker of the House!"

Greene further shared a clip of her interaction with reporters outside Capitol Hill, where she is asked if she would bring her motion to remove Johnson to a vote soon. She replies that she would like her "colleagues (to) go home and hear from their constituents," as everyone had been "too obsessed with funding foreign wars".

"If the vote was held today, Mike Johnson is a lame duck. He is done," she later adds.

Internet reacts to Marjorie Taylor Greene's statement

People online slammed Greene for her stance opposing the passing of the aid package, as the following tweets demonstrate.

"Your meltdown is glorious," wrote a user.

"Putin is very disappointed in you. VERY DISAPPOINTED," jibed another.

"Moscow Marge is a Russian agent— change my mind," echoed a third.

"No, Mike Johnson did not betray America. He did not follow the Putin crew, and you are mad now. The majority of citizens are happy he did what is right," commented a fourth user.

"Correction: Mike Johnson finally did the right thing for America. Protecting our allies and pushing Russia back is America First. You wouldn't know that because you're #MoscowMarge," chided a fifth.
