LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Nicki Minaj announced the release of her new single 'Bigfoot' on Sunday, January 28.

The announcement, made on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), revealed that the song would be released at 9 pm PT that same evening.

The new track appears to be a response to Megan Thee Stallion's recently released single 'Hiss', per Billboard.

Minaj's announcement, which came late Saturday night, January 27, was accompanied by the hashtag #BIGFOOT, fueling speculation about the nature of the song.

In addition to the announcement, Minaj took to X to share a series of posts seemingly aimed at Megan.

A recent headline has emerged stating that Minaj allegedly did not bill Meg for her part in 'Hot Girl Summer'.

What is Nicki Minaj's new claim about Megan Thee Stallion?

Minaj recently posted cover art for her new single, featuring a pink high-heeled boot stepping into a large footprint.

This was accompanied by an image of a distressed-looking Megan Thee Stallion, leading to #Bigfoot trending on X.

Megan's new single 'Hiss' reportedly seems to target Nicki's husband, Kenneth Petty, a registered sex offender, referencing Megan's Law.

Following the release of 'Hiss' on January 26, Minaj previewed an unreleased track on Instagram Live, seemingly retaliating against Megan by referring to an incident where Megan was shot in the foot by Tory Lanez in 2020.

During the live session, Minaj critiqued Megan's rapping skills, despite Megan having three Grammys.

Minaj also made several posts on X aimed at Megan and claimed she didn't charge the 28-yer-old rapper for her verse on the 2019 hit 'Hot Girl Summer', which reached No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

"Didn’t charge her for the hot girl summer verse that I recorded the night she BEGGED & BEGGED to go on my live. But it’s ok. My n—a Pluto charged her 250K for his verse," Minaj reportedly stated.

Internet reaction to Nicki Minaj's revealation

The online community has always shown interest in the ongoing feud between Minaj and Megan.

The revelation by Nicki that she didn't charge Meg for her contribution to the 2019 hit sparked swift reactions from netizens.

"Beyonce also didn’t charge her and she got a #1 single and Grammy out of it. Guess Nicki isn’t impactful after all," remarked a user.

Another noted, "It’s been 2 WHOLE DAYS… she still not done?"

"so if she paid the 250k how is she broke ?" stated another.

One person claimed, "If something Megan should charge her.. Megan literally gave her first hit!"

"ONE LINE made her go this mental…." remarked another.

"I'm sorry Nicki but you need to CALM DOWN, the ranting is honestly tiring. Please go to bed and get some rest girl," suggested a fan.
