Internet stirs as conspiracy theorists claim Kansas City Parade shooting was Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's ploy to promote Biden, gun control

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: The internet is abuzz with conspiracy theories linking the tragic Kansas City Super Bowl parade shooting to pop icon Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.

These theorists audaciously suggest that the incident was a calculated move by the duo to rally support for President Joe Biden and stricter gun control laws.

The speculation, which has been widely circulated by social media users, implies that the shooting was part of a larger scheme orchestrated by the celebrity couple to bolster backing for the Democratic party, as per Daily Mail.

In the aftermath of a tragic Valentine's Day shooting that resulted in one fatality and numerous injuries, several posts have surfaced drawing an unusual link to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

These posts, largely shared by far-right conservatives and supporters of Donald Trump, suggest that Swift and Kelce would endorse Biden's re-election campaign if the Chiefs won the Super Bowl, the Daily Mail reported.

Furthermore, there were claims that the Super Bowl, which ended in a 25-22 victory for the Chiefs over the San Francisco 49ers, was manipulated for political ends.

One theorist tweeted, "Who else finds it odd that a shooting at KC Champions parade happened & suddenly now we have Travis Kelce talking about gun control?"

"Oh thats right he is dating anti gun activist Taylor Swift I find it funny that when Democrats are in charge we have more shootings in this country," they added.

Another person responded to the tweet, "Interesting take Needs to be a investigation."

Another theorist claimed, "The Vertically Integrated Messaging Apparatus is heating up. That Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce impassioned gun control video is coming, and SOON."

"The people were detained after a mass shooting at the parade celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs Superbowl win." shared another.

"Has anyone looked into any connection to the pre-Superbowl radicalization regarding Taylor Swift and how the Deep State supposedly rigging the game?"

"This mass shooting at Kansas City's Super Bowl parade seems like a perfect pretext for an impassioned gun control plea from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Just saying," added a theorist. 

Internet slams 'unhinged' theories accusing Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

A user took to Reddit and commented, "I knew this was going to be something people said. Uuugh."

Another person remarked, "It’s so ghoulish how certain kinds of “conspiracy theorists” always get so excited to obsess about the latest mass shooting in America to twist it into the same dumbass “conspiracy” every fcking time."

They added, "No, we have a f**kload of guns and a huge problem with gun violence. Nobody needs to fake one."

"And even with that nobodys ever come for anyone’s fcking guns. Jfc some people will choose to fall for wholeass conspiracy theories instead of just going to fcking therapy already🤦🏻‍♀️," another said.
