Internet terms it ‘awkward’ as Kim Kardashian walks past ex Pete Davidson at 'SNL50'

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Saturday Night Live’s 50th Anniversary Special event took place at the 30 Rockefeller Center amid much pomp and glamour on Sunday, February 16. The event which witnessed more than 180 'SNL' cast members celebrate the special occasion, also brought two ex-lovers under the same roof. 

Sunday’s event had the 'SNL' veteran Pete Davidson crossing paths with one of his high-profile exes, Kim Kardashian, ahead of the event.

While the former lovebirds - who dated for nine months after the SKIMS founder’s bitter divorce from Kanye West - crossed paths, it was Kim’s glaring cut direct that left the internet chuckling.

As 'SNL’s 50th Anniversary celebration rolled out, the stage was set for several comic moments. However, as the fans noticed, the drama was aplenty outside the studio as well. 

A video that has since then gone viral on the internet showed Kim Kardashian, 44, passing by her ex, who she dated from November 2021 to August 2022, without even throwing a glance at him. 

Dressed in a fitted silver Balenciaga gown, Kim regally passed by her ex, who was then busy interacting with other fans on the side. Pete, 31, also looked dapper as he styled a navy blue suit over a striped shirt for the occasion. 

The former couple met during the Met Gala of 2021, before starting to date in November. They made their red carpet debut together at the premiere of ‘The Kardashians’ in 2022.

The internet was left in splits as the video of Kim Kardashian passing a "busy" Pete Davidson made the headlines. Some even said that the comedian's busy stance was rather a planned move as he saw that in advance and decided to act busy. 

One of the social media users said, "That was a moment definitely awkward but hilarious too."

Someone else added, "Talk about a moment."

"I didn’t like her such behaviour with Pete," condemned a critic of Kim's cut direct. 

Someone else, however, added, "She has a lot of exes, I'm sure she's used to the awkward moments."

"Water under the bridge, she never loved him, she was always out of his league," declared someone else referencing the duo's past relationship. 

Another fan, meanwhile, conjectured, "He definitely saw her coming and decided to act busy, I know I would with an ex."

"Thank u, next," added someone. referencing Pete's other ex Ariana Grande's famous song by the same name. The former couple dated for a few months in 2018 before calling it quits in October of the same year. 

Another fan joked, "She walked past him like she didn't notice LMAO."
