HIDDEN HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Kim Kardashian has opened up about the heartbreaking reality of her split from Kanye West, admitting that she never wanted her marriage to end but "there was no other option."

On the latest episode of 'The Kardashians', Kim, 44, made rare comments about her 2021 divorce while discussing Khloe Kardashian’s reunion with ex-husband Lamar Odom, Ok Magazine reported.

As Khloe, 40, reflected on how Odom's past drug addiction derailed their marriage despite her love for him, Kim revealed she could relate— except in her case, it was Kanye’s struggles with bipolar disorder that changed everything.

"That’s the hardest part. I’ve been there," Kim confessed, seemingly referencing Kanye, 47, with whom she shares four children: North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5.

She explained that the hardest part of the breakup was accepting that the person she married no longer existed.

"When you don’t foresee something happening that really changes a person’s personality and then they’re not the same person and you can’t ever get that person back, but you can’t live with the new person. I get it."

In a private confessional, the SKIMS mogul shared that her marriage didn’t end because she wanted it to - but because she had no other choice.

"It’s tougher when you don’t want your marriage to end off of personal reasons but circumstances change that force your marriage to end," Kim admitted.

"When you weren’t planning on that and that’s not really the outcome you want but there’s no other option, I think it makes it harder to get over," she noted.

Kim Kardashian says 'there is no way to repair it’

Back in 2021, Kim made it clear in court filings that she desperately wanted to move on, stating that her marriage to Kanye could not be saved.

She said, "I very much desire to be divorced. I have asked Kanye to keep our divorce private, but he has not done so."

"Kanye has been putting a lot of misinformation regarding our private family matters and co-parenting on social media which has created emotional distress," she wrote at the time.

Kim also admitted that while she once wished for a happily-ever-after with Kanye, she had to accept reality.

She said, "While I wish our marriage would have succeeded, I have come to the realization that there is no way to repair our marriage. Kanye does not agree but at least it appears that he has come to the realization that I want to end our marriage, even if he does not."

This comes amid rumors of Kanye West and Bianca Censori's divorce after controversy surrounding Censori’s daring outfit at the 2025 Grammys; but a representative for the couple shut them down.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the couple remains together, with their longtime representative confirming there is no truth to the speculation.
