Kelly Clarkosn lost weight by listening to her doctors

Despite the speculations from fans, Clarkson has previously attributed her healthy eating and exercising to be the chief reasons for her weight loss

Following her divorce from her former husband Brandon Blackstock in 2021, the ‘Because of You’ singer moved to New York with her two children. She also admitted that walking in the Big Apple has helped her immensely.

In her cover story for People in January, Clarkson revealed, “I was very unhappy in LA and had been for several years. I needed a fresh start.”

She continued, “I was going through a really rough few years, and even in the first season it was rough behind closed doors. Just to be able to come into season 5 feeling good and knowing my kids feel good— and the dust has settled. Season 5 is my first season to actually enjoy every minute of it.”

The ‘Piece by Piece’ singer admitted that moving to New York gave her the push to start working out. She said in the same interview per Women’s Health, “We go walk the dogs a few times at the park. We'll go for ice cream because my daughter will wear me down. We'll go make slime and we go to the museum.”

She added later, “Walking in the city is quite the workout."

The ‘Never Again’ singer not only focused on her walking but also updated her eating habits.

She shared, “I eat a healthy mix,” and explained, “I dropped weight because I’ve been listening to my doctor—a couple years I didn’t. And 90 percent of the time I’m really good at it because a protein diet is good for me anyway. I’m a Texas girl, so I like meat—sorry, vegetarians in the world!”

Earlier she revealed to Extra that she has followed Dr Steven Gundry’s book ‘The Plant Paradox’ which helped her in significant weight loss.

"I literally read this book, and I did it for this autoimmune disease that I had and I had a thyroid issue, and now all my levels are back up," admitted the ‘Never Enough’ singer.

She continued, "I'm not on medicine anymore because of this book. It's basically about how we cook our food, non-GMO, no pesticides, eating really organic...Literally, I haven't worked out at all!"
