Jake Paul endorses Donald Trump, criticizes Tony Hinchcliffe for 'bad joke' at ex-president's MSG rally
WASHINGTON, DC: Jake Paul has officially endorsed Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election.
The 27-year-old boxer, who resides in Puerto Rico and, therefore, cannot cast a vote, explained his support for Trump in an 18-minute video posted on X, delving into key issues influencing his stance.
Jake Paul addresses economy, border issues, and personal stakes
In the video, Jake Paul discussed topics like economy, border control, and transgender issues as factors behind his decision for supporting the former president.
Paul, now deeply rooted in Puerto Rico, feels strongly enough to put his career on the line as he prepares for a fight with Mike Tyson.

"We need to change from Kamala Harris to the Republican candidate, Donald Trump," Paul began the video as he revealed that he dosen't really like politicians.
"I like the fact that Donald Trump is a businessman, who has billions of dollars and won't be influenced by some deal or treaty that's going to make himself personally rich," he said in the video.
“Look at the facts. Think for yourself. Don’t be a sheep in this world full of sheep,” Paul urged in the video, calling on viewers to reflect on the matters he raised.
"I'm putting my business, my career on the line during my peak going into fight Mike Tyson… because I don’t give a f*** what the consequences are," he said towards the end of the clip.
Tony Hinchcliffe's 'bad joke' at Donald Trump's MSG rally irks Jake Paul
Jake Paul also weighed in on a recent controversy surrounding comedian Tony Hinchcliffe who faced backlash after a widely-criticized comment about Puerto Rico during Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally.
Paul described Hinchcliffe’s words as a “bad joke” that struck a nerve.
"I’ll start off with something that bothered me recently was Tony Hinchcliffe, a comedian who made a bad joke,” Paul said, according to TMZ.
He continued, “Obviously he’s doing his job, trying to be funny. But him talking smack about Puerto Rico was not funny. And I want to shine a light on the fact these aren’t Donald Trump views; it was a comedian who made a bad joke.”
Known for pushing boundaries with his comedy, Hinchcliffe faced heat over his comment though Trump has since distanced himself from the comedian.
“Tony, while I love most of your work, Puerto Rico is the most beautiful place on earth, and the people here are absolutely incredible,” Paul stated.
