Fans skeptical as insider claims Sydney Sweeney or Zendaya to play potential lead in next James Bond film
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The fans of the epic spy saga James Bond found themselves in utter confusion after an insider recently revealed that the producers might be eyeing Sydney Sweeney or Zendaya to play the leading lady in the next film of the franchise.
Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya, who have worked together in 'Euphoria', have cemented themselves as powerful and charismatic leading ladies in the movie industry.
Previously, Sweeney, who played the role of Julia Cornwall in 'Madame Web', was asked if she would consider returning to the Spider-verse if she gets a chance to reunite with her 'Euphoria' co-star Zendaya. To which, Sweeney replied by showing her utter excitement.
James Bond makers considering Sydney Sweeny and Zendaya to play female lead in next flick
According to the Daily Mail, insiders stated that there are discussions about the next James Bond movie possibly being a remake of an old one, with classic villains from the previous films making a comeback.
Recently, there have been reports that Aaron Taylor-Johnson, known for his role in 'Bullet Train', has been offered the role of James Bond, filling the shoes of Daniel Craig. Sources close to the franchise also suggest that Zendaya and Sweeney are being considered for the role of Bond's love interest.
The insider shared with the Daily Mail, "Barbara wants the fantasy of Bond to return, where the action is there but the larger-than-life bad guys are in the mix. Villains like Jaws or Oddjob are something she would like to see again if they remake an older Bond film."
It has also been reported that Denis Villeneuve, known for directing 'Dune', is the top choice to direct the new Bond film.
As per the Daily Mail, the insider further said, "Barbara Broccoli is very eager for Denis to direct the next Bond. That is her dream scenario, but since he is very busy, it might be difficult to lock him down. If he doesn't do the next one, they will keep asking him to direct future installments. For what he has done with 'Dune' and 'Blade Runner', to bring his talent to something as iconic as Bond is what Barbara wants. He is the number one option."
Regarding the potential casting of Sweeney or Zendaya, the insider said, "When it comes to Bond girls, they will never leave the franchise, and to have a young Bond is something that will be fun to play with. Sydney Sweeney has been discussed, but something like that is only determined by schedule if the casting is right and the director thought it would be right. If they get Denis Villeneuve, who has worked with Zendaya, then she could be in the mix as well."
Although Taylor-Johnson hasn't officially accepted the role yet, if he does, he'll become the seventh actor to portray James Bond since the franchise began in 1962, the Daily Mail reported.
Internet users say next James Bond film will be a 'disaster'

One person wrote, "It will be the most disappointing outcome ever and will lose me as a die hard fan."
One social media user wrote, "James Bond used to define style, not chase after trends like an insecure, needy fangirl."
Another user commented, "Barbara Broccoli is going to ruin the James Bond franchise."
One user commented, "Disappointing they would cast 2 American actresses when there are plenty of , and much more talented, British actresses available."
One person stated, "While I like Zendaya I donlt think she or the other women are material to be future Bond girls."
Another user wrote, "It’s going to be the biggest woke disaster 007 film in history. It has flop writing all over it. What a dreadful cast "
