James Van Der Beek's ex-wife Heather McComb marries Scott Campbell three months after actor's death
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: James Van Der Beek's former wife, Heather McComb, has said “I do” to actor Scott Michael Campbell. The actress, 49, tied the knot over the weekend, months after the death of the ‘Varsity Blues’ star.
Van Der Beek and McComb were married for seven years before calling it quits in 2010.

McComb shared her wedding photos on Sunday, May 31, on Instagram and wrote, “Yesterday @scottmichaelcampbell and I under the covenant of God got officially married by my beautiful sister @essence_says surround by the people we love most in the world in our most favorite city Missoula Montana.”
The ‘Mommy Is A Murderer’ star also mentioned in her lengthy post that she and her new husband’s “hearts are full and humbled by all of the love that we were surrounded by. God is so good. Thank you to all of our family and friends who traveled from all over the country to be with us.”
“You all made it so special and a truly magical weekend that we will never forget. We are sitting here counting our many blessings,” she added.

Campbell also shared photos from their wedding on his page. “BEYOND BLESSED for the most AMAZING week getting married to the BEAUTIFUL soul who is @heatmccomb,” he declared in his post.
McComb and Campbell’s big day came over two months after Van Der Beek lost his life following a battle with stage 3 colorectal cancer in February. He was 48.

After his death, his former wife said she was “heartbroken."
“I am especially heartbroken for his incredible wife Kimberly, his beautiful children and his amazing family, Jim, Jared, Juliana and all of his family and friends who I know he loved deeply,” she shared on Instagram.
In her post, McComb also reflected on her relationship with Van Der Beek as she shared a throwback black-and-white photo of herself with the late star.
“This picture is from my 21st birthday. Dawson's Creek hadn’t even aired yet. This is how I will always see James innocent, kind and pure of heart. What a journey we shared over the years,” she said.

McComb also expressed her gratitude “for the special connection, friendship and love” she shared with Van Der Beek.
“James was a blessing to all that knew him and because of his boldness to share his journey with the world so bravely is now a blessing to all. God please hold Kimberly, his children, his family and everyone who is mourning his loss in your arms,” she added.
