Jamie Lynn Spears' loved ones fear actress is 'struggling to get off' the Ozempic train, claim sources

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jamie Lynn Spears "is now struggling to get off" the Ozempic train after the 33-year-old actress started on the weight loss drug following her back-to-back TV show appearances in 2023. 

The younger sister of pop star Britney Spears recently posted a carousel of pictures on her Instagram account. However, one of the pictures garnered quite a bit of special attention as she wore a T-shirt emblazoned with the slogan "Ozempics 2024" in a parody of the Olympic torch.

In another picture, she looks completely unstyled with her hair mussed.

Now, sources close to the actress has shared with Daily Mail that Jamie Lynn is finding it difficult to stop using the popular weight loss drug after she was left allegedly "mortified" following her TV appearances.

In 2023, the 'Zoey 101' star appeared in a series of TV shows including 'Dancing With The Stars', 'Special Forces: World's Toughest Test', and the UK edition of 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'

Following her insipid TV appearances, the actress started using Ozempic to get back in shape. However, even after achieving her desired figure, Jamie Lynn is reportedly struggling to cease using the semaglutide.

Recently, a source close to the mother-of-two shared with Daily Mail, "Her friends and family have told her that she looks incredible and that she does not need to lose any more weight, but she's not listening."

According to the outlet, the actress received a plethora of condescending comments from social media users regarding her appearance during her short stints at the reality shows.

The insider added, "Jamie Lynn hopped on the Ozempic train, and is now struggling to get off," before explaining, "She was mortified over her appearance when she did a string of shows last year. She read the comments and took it very, very hard."

"When Sweet Magnolias was renewed for Season 4 she was so focused on getting a new body. Her friends were supportive because many of them use it too and by the time she started filming in January she looked great and was happy," further shared the source.

"But then she kept going and is now having difficulty pulling the plug on it," noted the concerned individual. 

They mentioned, "She is so scared of gaining it all back that she is willing to put her desire to have a 'summer body' before her wellbeing." 

Jamie Lynn Spears has reportedly faced side effects from using Ozempic

The insider revealed that Jamie Lynn Spears has experienced considerable side effects from using the drug. Though not extensively alarming, she has witnessed side effects that have "affected her."

"She has had some side effects just as most people have and although they are not severe enough to warrant her being forced to stop, they have affected her," shared the source, adding, "She gets headaches a lot and has a hard time focusing and also stomach cramps."

Another insider shared that the mother of two knows that "physical appearance" matters when it comes to making a mark in Hollywood.

They remarked, "Jamie Lynn is eager to step on the gas with her career coming into 2025. She understands that her name and connection to her sister will open doors, but fears her physical appearance could impact this."

"She understands the pressure that Hollywood puts on actors for the way they look. So she turned to Ozempic to remain in the conversation of TV bosses," mentioned the source.
