BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS: Jane's Addiction issued an apology to their fans and announced the cancellation of its upcoming show in Bridgeport, Connecticut, following the Boston onstage brawl between lead singer Perry Farrell, 65, and guitarist Dave Navarro, 57.

However, no further information for the rest of the tour, which was supposed to continue until October 16, was provided.

During the Friday, September 13 reunion show, a visibly furious Farrell punched an unsuspecting Navarro, as per the New York Post.

While the band was performing 'Ocean Size' at Leader Bank Pavillion in Boston, Perry Farrell became visibly aggravated and started raining expletives at his bandmates and the audience.

He then proceeded to turn to Navarro as he was strumming his guitar and punched his shoulder. After Farrell managed to throw two elbow-like jabs at Navarro, several crew members and bassist Eric Avery, restrained the singer and led him offstage, with the show coming to an abrupt end.

On Saturday, Jane's Addiction issued a "heartfelt apology" on their Instagram account.

The statement read, "We want to extend a heartfelt apology to our fans for the events that unfolded last night."

"As a result we will be canceling tomorrow night’s show in Bridgeport," added the band, including information about refunds for the canceled Connecticut show.

Perry Farrell's wife Etty Lau Farrell breaks her silence on Boston show onstage brawl

Etty Lau Farrell, the rocker's wife, gave her version of events leading up to her husband's furious outburst at the band's Boston performance.

She revealed that the band's excessive usage of instruments was drowning out Farrell's voice, which had been causing tensions between him and the others to rise.

On Saturday, Lau wrote on Instagram, "He was screaming just to be heard. Perry’s frustration had been mounting, night after night, he felt that the stage volume had been extremely loud and his voice was being drowned out by the band."

She added, "Perry had been suffering from tinnitus and a sore throat every night. But when the audience in the first row, started complaining up to Perry cussing at him that the band was planning too loud and that they couldn’t hear him, Perry lost it."

Lau had kind things to say about how calmly Navarro handled the situation, per Variety. In the footage from the brawl, he could be seen trying to keep Farrell at bay, appearing perplexed, and even exclaiming, "What the f**k?"

However, the lead singer's wife criticized bassist Avery for taking "cheap shots" by supposedly striking the singer three times and placing him in a headlock, which is not evident from the widely shared footage of the onstage incident.

"Perry was a crazed beast for the next half an hour — he finally did not calm down, but did breakdown and cried and cried," added Lau.

The group is scheduled to perform next on September 18 in Toronto, Canada.
