After a tense onstage altercation with frontman Perry Farrell, Navarro has taken to social media to issue a heartfelt apology and share the release of the band’s latest single, 'True Love'.

The incident occurred during a live performance where Dave Navarro and Perry Farrell engaged in a physical confrontation.
A viral video captured Farrell lunging at Navarro and throwing a punch. Security intervened, pulling Farrell away as he attempted to continue the attack.
The chaotic scene led to an abrupt end to the show and, eventually, the remainder of the band's tour.

In his Instagram post, Navarro expressed his sorrow over the situation, writing, “New Jane’s Addiction track released today, 'True Love'. I am proud of the work we did on this song but I am equally saddened by the fact that you will likely never hear it live.”
Navarro extended his apology to the band’s crew and the supporting acts, including Crawlers and Love and Rockets, whose performances were also impacted by the tour's sudden cancellation.

"I’d also like to publicly apologize to our crew, Crawlers and their crew and to Love and Rockets and their crew,” Navarro wrote, acknowledging the financial and emotional toll the incident caused.
"I am gutted that things ended this way and that so many jobs were lost as a result. May all of our hearts mend together.”
Navarro accompanied his apology with a brief lyric video for 'True Love', the latest release from Jane’s Addiction, seemingly hoping to salvage some positivity from the difficult circumstances.
Dave Navarro addresses tour cancellation
The onstage fight appeared to be the result of a growing rift between Dave Navarro, 57, and Perry Farrell, 65.
In the footage, Farrell can be seen yelling at Navarro before launching at him, while Navarro raised his hands in an apparent attempt to prevent further escalation.
The confrontation was quickly broken up by security, with Farrell being restrained and pulled away from Navarro. Despite efforts to calm the situation, the band decided to call off the remainder of their tour.
In an official statement posted to X (formerly Twitter), the band announced, “The band have made the difficult decision to take some time away as a group. As such, they will be canceling the remainder of the tour.”
Fans were advised to seek refunds from their ticket providers.

Navarro further addressed the situation in a follow-up Instagram post, explaining the band’s decision to cancel the tour.
"Due to a continuing pattern of behavior and the mental health difficulties of our singer Perry Farrell, we have come to the conclusion that we have no choice but to discontinue the current US tour," he wrote.

"Our concern for his personal health and safety as well as our own has left us no alternative. We hope that he will find the help he needs."
A source close to the band told Fox News Digital that Farrell is deeply remorseful over his actions and the consequences they’ve had on the band and their fans.
"Perry is heartbroken at his actions. He realizes that he waited too long to prioritize his well-being. His exhaustion and the toll it has taken on both his physical and mental health has gone too far,” the source explained.
