WASHINGTON, DC: Rep Jasmine Crockett hit back at President Donald Trump after he mocked her intelligence during a press gaggle aboard Air Force One, lumping her together with Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) as “low IQ” people.

The president’s comments sparked a sharp reaction from Crockett, who joined CNN’s ‘The Source with Kaitlan Collins’ hours later on Tuesday, October 28.

Asked for her reaction, Crockett shot back with biting humor and criticism.

“I’m waiting on a reporter — maybe it’ll be you, Kaitlan- to finally ask him, what is his IQ?” she said.

Crockett says Trump isn't 'known to be an Einstein'

Trump, touting his performance on a cognitive test he recently took at Walter Reed, told reporters, “They have Jasmine Crockett, a low IQ person. They have AOC’s low IQ. You give her an IQ test… those are very hard. They couldn’t come close to answering any of those questions.”

Crockett responded further during the interview and said, “He doesn’t even know what a low IQ is. He doesn’t even know which scores are low.”

The Texas congresswoman added, “Whatever score, if he’s taken one anytime recently, I’m sure he qualifies as low."

"Listen, he’s never been known to be an Einstein. This is not a guy who got in on merit when it came to going to college. This is someone who, but for him being born with a silver spoon, probably wouldn’t have gotten into anybody’s institution — unlike me," he added.

Crockett asks Trump to focus on his 'real job'

Crockett, a lawmaker and vocal progressive, suggested that Trump’s repeated jabs at her and Ocasio-Cortez reflected a deeper pattern.

“You have a President of the United States who consistently is obsessing over two women of color who are members of the House,” she said.

“You are the president, you have a lot more power than we do, but obviously, you consistently feel threatened,” she added.

“I don’t know what black woman hurt him in his past, honey, but it is really taking him through it,” she quipped.

Crockett closed her remarks by urging Trump to stop fixating on personal attacks.

“I really wish, for the sake of this country and the world, that he would focus on his real job and stop worrying about me,” she said.

“My constituents will decide whether or not I have an adequate IQ... He can’t hire me or fire me, unfortunately for him,” she concluded.

AOC takes jab at Trump's cognitive skills

Rep Ocasio-Cortez also flipped President Donald Trump’s latest jab back at him.

In a post on X, she quipped, “Hello Mr President! Out of curiosity, did those doctors ask you to draw a clock by any chance? Was that part hard for you, too? Asking for 340 million people.”

The jab referenced the clock-drawing task from the Montreal Cognitive Assessment - a screening test for cognitive impairment, not a measure of intelligence.

Her sarcastic tone struck a chord with her millions of followers, many of whom praised her for flipping Trump’s challenge into a punchline.
