WASHINGTON, DC: On Friday, May 24, Rep Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) indicated that some of her fellow Republican peers expressed support for her reaction to the altercation with Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) last week, even giving her a "thumbs up," according to The Hill.

Last week, a House Oversight Committee hearing witnessed a heated exchange between Greene and Crockett, escalating into chaos.

Greene's accusation that Crockett was wearing "fake eyelashes" was widely criticized for its racial implications by many on the left.

What did Jasmine Crockett say regarding her spat with Marjorie Taylor Greene?

When MSNBC host Joy Reid asked the Texas Democrat about the dispute and what it's like to work with Marjorie Taylor Greene, she replied that it's "completely unproductive."

“Listen, she is showing the world who she is and the fact that the Republicans continue to give her cover, it tells us who they are as well,” Rep Crockett remarked during her interview on ‘The ReidOut.' “Now, they want to disassociate themselves from her, but in reality, when you don’t check her, you basically are complicit in the things that she does.”

“I will tell you that I’ve had thumbs-up, winks, and comments from the other side. Some of them I like your lashes, like, listen, nobody’s coming for her defense,” she claimed later in the interview. “And they’re all patting me on my back.”

“It did not seem as if my colleague understood that someone can be diverse and qualified,” Crockett told Reid. “And it is why you have people like me that get very frustrated, not just in the halls of Congress, but in general in this country.”

Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene's disparaging comment resulted in a discussion about whether the remark should be considered off the record. Later on, Crockett inquired about the type of rhetoric that would be deemed a breach of congressional protocol.

“If someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody’s bleach blonde bad built butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?” Crockett argued, presumably referring to the firebrand Georgia Republican.

Rep Crockett has gone on to trademark the phrase "Bleach Blonde Bad Built Butch Body" and has capitalized on the altercation by retailing merchandise.

Greene responded to the jeers by sharing a training video online where she defended her "built and strong" physique.

On Monday, the 49-year-old GOP congresswoman wrote on X, “Yes my body is built and strong NOT with nips, tucks, plastic, or silicone, but through a healthy lifestyle. Soon turning 50 years old, God willing, I will continue to lift, run, swim, play sports, surf, ski, climb and LIVE this life to the fullest and enjoy every single moment!”

Internet divided as Rep Crockett reveals numerous Republicans liked her retort against MTG

One X user claimed, "Yurp! We already know this. @mtgreenee couldn't even garner support to impeach herself. And it's not even about her bleach blonde bad-built butch body, it's her toxic personality & lack of likability—it stinks. Even MAGA people say nasty things about her on the dark web."

Another user said, "Never understood fake eye lashes and wigs. Weird fake people." [sic]

Another user wrote, "That’s bc Republicans know Marge is stupid but have no spine."

One X user remarked, "She's not wearing those tacky a** eye lashes anymore." [sic]

Another user asked, "when are they going to jump in the jelly and sort it out once and for all?" [sic]

Finally, this user tweeted, "Cry me a river."
