WASHINGTON, DC: Jason Aldean praised his fellow country music star, Carrie Underwood, for her powerful a cappella performance of 'America the Beautiful' at President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, Monday.

Despite technical difficulties that delayed the start of her performance, Underwood delivered a stunning rendition without any musical backing—a bold move that didn’t go unnoticed by her peers.

Jason Aldean applauds Carrie Underwood’s 'pro move' at Donald Trump's inauguration

In an interview with 'Fox & Friends' recently, Jason Aldean, who had long been a vocal supporter of President Trump, expressed his admiration for Carrie Underwood’s poise and professionalism during the high-profile event.

"First of all, it’s a hard song to do anyway," Aldean said. "And when you’re supposed to be singing to a track, and that’s what gives you pitch reference for the song… to not have that, for her to just kinda say, ‘All right, listen, we’ll go.’ That’s a big move, and that’s a pro move on her part, so I thought it was great.”

Aldean performed at the inaugural Liberty Ball on Monday.

Underwood’s decision to perform at the inauguration had been met with mixed reactions, with some fans criticizing her.

However, the singer, who has largely stayed out of the political spotlight, responded with grace, expressing her honor in being asked to perform at such a historic moment.

“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event," Underwood had said in a statement prior to the inaiguration.

"I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future," she added.

Two of her albums even secured the top two spots, while a third placed at #9.
