Jason Kelce reveals brother Travis' growth after finding love with Taylor Swift: 'It’s been staggering'

HAVERFORD, PENNSYLVANIA: Former NFL star-turned-sports commentator Jason Kelce has been left stunned by how much his younger brother Travis Kelce has matured over the last few years amid his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift, People magazine reported on Tuesday, February 18.

Jason, former center for the Philadelphia Eagles, shared his opinion on the Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis during his appearance on the 'Fitz and Whit' podcast.

The show is hosted by former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and former Rams offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth.

Jason Kelce comments on Travis Kelce's growth

Travis was brought up in conversation during the podcast, with the hosts noting that he had a basketball hoop as well as a pool table in his living room as an adult. When asked if the 35-year-old was "growing up now," Jason, 37, replied affirmatively, "It’s been staggering, honestly."

“One of the things I love so much about Travis is that he never grew up. He was like Peter Pan, the lost boys," Jason explained of his younger sibling. However, he believed that the gradual change coming over him has been because of the people he has now surrounded himself with, likely referring to his girlfriend Taylor Swift.

“I think that sometimes you get people in your life that maybe get that out of you. That’s a good thing,” he shared, later adding that Travis still retains his playful demeanor.

"Trav, he is growing up. He’s still got that youthful enthusiasm. I think he’ll kind of always have that. It’s just part of his personality,” said Jason. "I think it’s one of the reasons every teammate has ever loved playing with him.”

In his reference to the "people" in Travis's life, Jason may have hinted at his brother's girlfriend Taylor Swift. The NFL star has been reportedly dating the Grammy-winning singer since October 2023. They have been supportive of each other personally and professionally, with Travis attending her concerts and Taylor making appearances at his games.

In an interview on 'The Stephen A Smith Show' last month, Travis stated, "I'm enjoying all aspects of life. Me and Taylor are happy. I couldn't be happier to have that confidence and that comfort off the field and all the support I could ever ask for in the stadium."

"I think personally, that's the beauty of being in a very strong relationship is that you get that support to be able to come in and focus on your craft, focus on being the best version of you," he later added.
