LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jax Taylor’s request for a restraining order against his former wife, Brittany Cartwright, has been partially granted by a judge on Tuesday, September 1.

The 47-year-old model filed for a domestic violence restraining order against Cartwright, alleging “emotional pain and anguish”. He took the step just days after the 37-year-old TV personality’s request for a restraining order against him was approved.

In her filing, Cartwright had accused Taylor of a “pattern of acts of domestic violence” against her. As a result, the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ alum was ordered to maintain at least 100 yards of distance from her, from her home, car, and from their 5-year-old son Cruz’s school.

Taylor was also asked not to meet Cruz until a hearing on September 17. But on August 31, the actor requested the restraining order against Cartwright while denying “every allegation” by her.

In his filing, he also reportedly asked for approval of the order “without notice to Brittany, as I am genuinely afraid that if she is told in advance that I am doing this, she will retaliate by issuing a flood of denigrating statements on social media ... and I will experience further emotional pain and anguish.”

As per Taylor, he even lost work opportunities because Cartwright alleged him, and regarding physical abuse accusations, he stated that they were “both verbally abusive to each other” during their nearly ten-year relationship, beginning from the spring of 2015 until their separation in February 2024.

Taylor has also claimed that his estranged wife “regularly threatened and intimidated” him and “regularly called him abhorrent names to degrade him and make him feel small, by allegedly telling him that he would be nothing without her and that nobody likes him.”

The request filed by Taylor also showed him accusing Cartwright of “physically attacking” him on “numerous occasions, including slapping him, pushing him, throwing objects and food at him and calling him profanities in front of their son.”

In his demand, Taylor asked the judge to order Cartwright to remain 100 yards away from him, his home and his vehicle. He also requested that Cartwright be banned from contacting employers or prospective employers “for the purpose of harassing, disparaging or interfering with [his] employment.”

Meanwhile, earlier on August 28, Taylor had told Us Weekly, “I made a lot of mistakes and behaved in ways during that period of my life that I’m truly ashamed of and regret and take full responsibility for.”
