LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Recently rumors have surfaced about behind-the-scenes tension between pop stars Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish

Fans have pointed out a series of perceived slights between the two artists. Well, it seems these tensions are not just rumors as insiders claim to have evidence of the feud between Swift and Eilish.

They allege that Swift is "jealous" and is attempting to hinder Eilish's success, even rallying her fans to launch a vicious online campaign to prevent Eilish from topping the charts.

A close source to Eilish, 22, stated, "Industry insiders aren't blind to the fact that Taylor is weaponizing her fans and that Billie appears to be the latest victim in that campaign."

The insider claimed, “Whenever Taylor feels jealous of a peer's success, she does all she can to make sure her fans start vicious online campaigns to bring that person down without ever telling them to stop. And all while operating under the guise of being America's sweetheart."

The above claims follow the recent release of new albums by Swift, 34, and Eilish, sparking a fierce battle for chart supremacy, with Billie reportedly becoming the target of intensified attacks from Taylor's fans online.

Swift's 'The Tortured Poets Department' has held the No. 1 spot on Billboard's album rankings since its release on April 19, as per DailyMail.

However, some critics argue that Swift has maintained this position partly by periodically releasing variant and extended editions to boost sales and streaming figures. To date, Swift has released over 20 variants of 'TTPD'.

The release of two 'special' editions of 'TTPD' on the same day as Eilish's album 'Hit Me Hard and Soft' released last month was seen by many as an attempt to overshadow Eilish's album.

This move even led Eilish’s manager, Danny Rukasin, to initially share, then delete, a tweet accusing Swift of "breaking her neck to prevent other artists from shining".

The tweet suggested that Swift had previously timed her releases to hinder artists like Katy Perry and SZA. However, it’s not just Swift’s alleged manipulation of the charts that seems to have unsettled Eilish.

Billie Ellish criticizes ‘wasteful artists’

In March, Eilish criticized 'wasteful' artists who create "f***ing 40 different vinyl packages […] just to get you to keep buying more".

Swift currently offers 11 different vinyl albums on her site, and while Eilish claimed she wasn’t "singling anyone out", fans quickly linked the statement to Swift, leading many Swifties to attack her.

Further comments Eilish made last month didn’t help, as she slammed songs aimed at individuals as "frustrating"—a nod to Swift's numerous breakup and 'diss' tracks. Eilish also called artists who perform "three-hour shows", like Swift’s Eras Tour, "literally psychotic".

Insider says Billie Eilish is 'not interested in the drama'

Sources close to Eilish say she doesn’t seek a public feud and is now facing unwarranted online attacks from Swift’s fans.

“Billie doesn’t want anything to do with a feud; she’s not interested in the drama and has done nothing to provoke it,” an insider stated.

“At a time when Billie is doing so well, there’s no reason for her to get involved in any kind of beef.”

Some suggest tensions date back to January 2022 when Blur’s Damon Albarn criticized Swift in an LA Times interview, falsely claiming she "doesn’t write her own songs" and praising Eilish’s songwriting.

Albarn apologized later, but Swift responded strongly, calling his "hot" comments "completely false and SO damaging".

The argument might have ended there, but in April 2022, Eilish invited Albarn onstage at Coachella, which some believe angered Swift. During the performance, an unidentified man, possibly Eilish's brother Finneas O’Connell, was heard saying, "We're getting sued by Taylor Swift".

“This is not the first time that Taylor's fans have been used to pull someone down when their success is seen to be encroaching on hers,” an Eilish insider claimed.

"If she is really such a nice girl like she wants everyone to believe then why doesn't she speak out and stop her fans from attacking people on her behalf?”

“All Taylor needs to do is encourage [her fans] to spread positive messages instead of trolling and bringing others down,” the insider concluded.

Internet reacts to claims Taylor Swift is 'jealous' of her peers

Following the insider's report on the rumored feud between Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish, thousands of comments have been posted below the Daily Mail article.

One said, "I doubt Taylor Swift is worried about anyone or anything right now as she’s absolutely on top of the world right now. There’s nobody that can touch her when it comes to star power at the money nobody at all."

The second wrote, "A successful woman's greatest enemy is another successful woman. The mutual hatred between the two will far exceed any response from the toxic male environment everyone is so concerned about."

The third added, "Don’t believe it !"

The other asserted, "Total nonsense."

The last added, "If you have a feud with Taylor Swift, you're guaranteed great publicity. If she's on a world tour, that publicity lasts a long time. And as they day, 'no publicity is bad publicity'!"
