WASHINGTON, DC: Jeanine Pirro, following Fox News' tradition of criticizing celebrities for sharing their political opinions with the public, dismissed Taylor Swift's endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris

On 'The Five', the former judge brushed off the pop star's high-profile endorsement by suggesting that she should focus on her music career, as per the Daily Beast.

"Who cares, okay?" remarked Jeanine Pirro, addressing Taylor Swift's endorsement. The Fox News host went on to emphasize that she chooses music or movies based on talent rather than political views.

"I buy music or I go to a movie because I like the actor, his acting, or I like the singer. I don’t give a damn what you think politically, you are not good to move me one way or another," remarked Pirro.

She further questioned why celebrities believe their political views should have any sway over the public, advising Swift, "You sing for a living. Just deal with that."

However, later on in the segment, Pirro seemed to be glad about Kid Rock's endorsement of Donald Trump. She named the country rock artist as someone who, as her co-host Jesse Watters put it, is "much more influential" than Swift.

Rock performed at the Republican National Convention in July and introduced Trump at a rally in Detroit in August.

The conservative reaction to Swift's endorsement of Harris has been notably critical. Aside from Elon Musk's unsettling response, former Fox News host Megyn Kelly, Daily Wire editor-in-chief Ben Shapiro, and Turning Point USA's Charlie Kirk have scoffed at the pop star's endorsement.

Previously, Trump had shared AI-generated images of Swift endorsing him, which the singer touched upon while throwing her support behind the vice president following the debate on Tuesday, September 10.

Taylor Swift endorsed 'warrior' Kamala Harris following presidential debate

Right after the presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, Taylor Swift endorsed the Democratic nominee in an Instagram post, signing off as, "Childless Cat Lady," referring to remarks made by the GOP nominee's running mate JD Vance.

She wrote, "I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos."

Swift, who endorsed Joe Biden in 2020, also praised Harris' selection of Tim Walz as her running mate. She also urged her followers to register to vote ahead of the November election.

As of Wednesday afternoon, her endorsement reportedly drove over 337,800 people to Vote.gov, the government website through which individuals can register to vote.
