MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Jeanine Pirro has been called out mercilessly online after she slammed Robert De Niro for his anti-Trump remarks.

The television host said, as reported by The Wrap, “My question for Robert De Niro, what have you done for New York City? Is there a building with your name on it?”

“Have you built skyscrapers? Has the skyline of New York changed because of all your vision?” she added despite him being on the board of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum along with his other contributions towards the city.

De Niro then alleged, “Donald Trump wants to destroy not only the city but the country, and eventually he could destroy the world. He wants to sow total chaos.”

He further reportedly stated, “Under Trump, this kind of government will perish from the earth. I don’t mean to scare you. No, no, wait – maybe I do mean to scare you.”

“If Trump returns to the White House, you can kiss these freedoms goodbye that we all take for granted. And elections? Forget about it,” the Oscar winner added.

An individual wrote on X, “Yeah, apart from the 11 sound stages that he's building in the multi-story, state of the art, Wildflower Studios... She means, apart from that, obviously. Notice how DeNiro didn't put his own name on it. He's not a Trump.”

Another individual, referring to Trump, tweeted, “Do you know what's also true. He stiffed hard-working workers who helped build his empire. He showed zero regard for the working class.”

“Well, De Niro hasn't committed 34 Class E felonies, so there's that,” the third one shared.

The fourth one posted, “Skyscrapers? Robert De Niro is one of the founders of the Tribeca Film Festival, which obviously you don’t have a clue how and why this festival began and how it became worldwide ✍️Anyway 👇.”

In a lengthy comment, a supporter of De Niro noted, “First, Robert De Niro co-founded the Tribeca Film Festival, which has not only brought a significant cultural and economic boost to lower Manhattan but has also played a pivotal role in revitalizing the area following the tragic events of September 11, 2001.”

“Additionally, De Niro has invested in various New York City establishments, such as the Tribeca Grill, Nobu, and Locanda Verde restaurants, and the Greenwich Hotel. These ventures have provided jobs and economic growth and contributed to the city's vibrant dining and hospitality scene. De Niro is currently involved in developing the $600 million Wildflower Studios in Queens, which is set to become a major hub for film and television production. This project is expected to create thousands of jobs and contribute significantly to the city's economy. His contributions to the city's cultural, economic, and physical landscape are undeniable,” they added.
