Melania and Ivanka’s no-show at Donald Trump’s hush money trial draws attention, Internet says ‘they know he’s guilty’

MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Some of Donald Trump's family members joined him in the court as he listened to closing arguments in his hush money trial on Tuesday, May 28.

The ex-president has been defending himself against 34 charges after being accused of forging his business records to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to adult film star, Stormy Daniels, to conceal an affair before the 2016 election.

Two people who are yet to show support to the former President inside the courtroom are his wife Melania and his eldest daughter, Ivanka, CNN reported.

Eric Trump, however, has always been by his father's side. Also, Donald Trump Jr was also seen sometimes inside the Manhattan courthouse.

On Tuesday, besides Eric and Trump Jr, other family members who joined the 77-year-old Republican were Eric’s wife, Lara; Trump’s youngest daughter, Tiffany; and her husband, Michael Boulos.

Meanwhile, the absence of the former first lady in the courtroom is not surprising as the alleged sexual encounter between Daniels and Trump happened a year into his marriage with Melania, which eventually affected their marriage.

Not only that, it has been alleged that Trump was involved with Playboy centerfold Karen McDougal while Melania was pregnant with their son, Barron.

Ivanka’s absence has also not reportedly been called unusual since she and her husband Jared Kushner have kept themselves away from Trump’s latest presidential bid.

The businesswoman had earlier reportedly said, “I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics.”

Also, an insider shared that “when [Ivanka Trump] was at the White House, her kids were still at the age where they might not know exactly what was going on. Her kids are older now and that’s no longer the case.”

Meanwhile, X was also abuzz because of Melania and Ivanka’s absence as a user tweeted, “Where’s Melania? She didn’t get to one day of the NY trial. I guess Trump is guilty.”

Another user commented, “Trump’s family members have visited court during the hush money trial. Notably missing: Melania & Ivanka Trump! Maybe just like Trump, who said he wouldn’t look good visiting falling soldiers, so Ivanka & Melania wouldn’t look good visiting Trump in court?”

“Trump is a fool, a conman, and a grifter. He said many times he would testify, but when push came to shove he backed out.  Keep sucking his teat, see where it gets you. You support a man who doesn’t give a damn about you. If he was truly innocent Melania would be by his side,” the third one wrote.

The fourth user said, “Where is Jared and Ivanka, and where is Melania and Barron ? Looks like only the losers in the family had to go. The important family members were a big no show.”

“So if Donald Trump is innocent,where was Melania ? If you never slept with Stormy Daniel’s , why would Melania or Ivanka not come to court ? Must Be Guilty Donnie Boy. #TrumpIsADisgrace,” the fifth one added.

“Oops!  Where is Ivanka and Jared? Where is Melania? They know he is guilty and want to disassociate from DJT VOTE BLUE FOR DEMOCRACY,” a tweet read.

Another tweet was “Where's Melania?  I'm guessing that she's by a pool scrutinizing her PreNup & trying to figure out when the best time is to drop the Grifter of Mar-a-Lago to receive maximum financial benefit.”
