LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Garner's awkward conversation with another A-list actress resurfaced online after being criticized for "acting" during an interview following the deadly LA wildfires.

One TikTok user brought up a conversation between Garner and 'Shirley' star Regina King from 2017 when the 'Elektra' star appeared on Chelsea Handler's 'Dinner Party: My American Experience'.

The discussion, which became popular back in 2023, was revived in a new TikTok video posted on Wednesday, January 15, reported Daily Mail.

Jennifer Garner asked Regina King about her ancestry

The 52-year-old 'Alias' actress, who recently revealed to MSNBC that she had lost a friend in the LA fires tragedy, has been helping to provide meals to fire victims around Southern California.

However, the TikToker shared a short excerpt from another NBC interview in which Garner visited damaged areas and referred to the celebrity as "a terrible actress."

During an appearance on 'Chelsea Handler's Dinner Party', the comedian sat down with several celebs for a low-key supper. Garner and King were among the guests gathered at the circular table.

King was discussing how she was born in Los Angeles at one point when Garner cut her off to inquire about her ancestry.

"I grew up here in LA, born and bred. One of the few people that are born and bred in LA," King said.

"It's, I think, a very cool thing and I kind of wear it on my chest very proudly because so many people say, 'Oh, LA is this and LA is that,' and I'm like, well, you're not from LA, so you don't really know it," she added.

"But do you know where your ancestors are from?" Garner interrupted the actress. King laughed briefly before responding, "Well, yeah…They were part of the triangle slave trade. From Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Senegal."

"But my parents are both from the South. Met each other here. To this day, I'm totally grateful my mom left. My mom was the one that was like, 'I am f**king out of this b***h and I'm going to see what else is out there,' and she came to LA," King shared.

Jennifer Garner and Regina King's awkward conversation resurfaces following LA wildfire

The 2017 awkward conversation clip resurfaced following the LA fires. It opened with a segment from Garner's NBC interview, in which she described witnessing the devastation and briefly noted that one of her friends died.

The actress remarked, "It's too awful to talk about...It's just unimaginable," in response to the interviewer's follow-up regarding the tragic revelation.

To express her own opinions, the TikToker muted the video and urged her followers, "I want you to watch this clip and think, is this person acting or is this truthful."

"And I also want you to consider why this person is constantly, constantly in the news. Constantly in paparazzi pictures, constantly with her children in paparazzi pix even though there's nothing she's promoting," the TikToker added.

The TikToker said, "And those people are always suspicious to me. It's like, why are you constantly in front of me? Why is there this narrative that's constantly being presented?"

She remarked, "I'm supposed to believe that this person is an amazing person," and that she "doesn't care" what people had to say in the comments.

"That woman's a terrible actress first of all. Second of all, there's no reason that if you are a celebrity, you can't just quietly write a check. There's no reason that you need to run and find the nearest camera to somehow make this about yourself," the TikToker said.

The TikTok user later said in part, "It's so obvious to me that this woman is so fake, and the harder that they're out there pushing a story that like."

"Look up the clip of her and Regina King," said the description at the beginning of the video.

One user said, "I've never liked Jennifer Garner! Never understood the fascination."

"I just watched the clip with Regina King that everyone talked about in the comments and yeah, she is not a good person," one person said.

"Jennifer garner is not who she pretends to be," another said. One individual wrote, "She showed her true colors when she was talking to Regina King."
