Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck selling art from $60M marital home amid divorce rumors
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Amid ongoing marital issues between 'The Atlas' star Jennifer Lopez and 'The Martian' actor, a recent update reveals that the couple is selling the art from their $60 million mansion in Beverly Hills.
This decision follows reports of the couple living apart in Los Angeles, with Ben Affleck removing his belongings from their shared home. Also, it is worth mentioning that the mansion is now listed for sale on the market.
Affleck and Lopez have been apart since March, and speculation about their separation intensified in May when Affleck notably did not accompany Lopez to major red-carpet events, including the Met Gala, which she co-chaired this year.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are parting with some of their valuable possessions
According to Page Six, the couple is selling artworks from their $60 million home, which is currently on the market amid rumors of their impending divorce. Collectors and interested buyers snapped up "art and some pieces" that recently became available from Bennifer 2.0’s residence in early June.
The Grammy nominee, 54, and the Oscar winner, 51, purchased the expansive property just last year but listed it for sale almost exactly a year later. According to a source, they are eager to sell because they were never satisfied with the house.
“Ben never liked the house,” an insider claimed. “It’s too far away from his kids.” Affleck has been residing in a rental near his three children—Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12—in Brentwood, California.
He moved out of the Beverly Hills marital home while Lopez was on a solo vacation in Europe, visiting Italy and France after canceling her tour due to poor ticket sales.
Upon returning to California, Lopez was photographed heading to Affleck’s office but did not interact with him. The following day, she appeared tense as she arrived at Paramount Studios for work.
A source informed in May that the 'Air' actor had “come to his senses” about their marriage and intended to end it.
“If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would,” the insider shared. “He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream, and he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work,” the source added.
The 'Gigli' co-stars, who called off their first engagement in 2004 before reuniting in April 2021, tied the knot in Las Vegas in July 2022. They held a more extravagant ceremony at Affleck’s estate in Georgia the following month, as per TMZ.
