Source reveals Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's 'ground rules' for marriage amid divorce rumors
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have sparked divorce rumors after the Bronx diva walked the Met Gala red carpet without her husband.
Insiders are now claiming that the star couple is not headed toward a divorce, they may still be wading through the troubled waters in the relationship because of their drastically different personality traits.
Amid the divorce rumors, the sources claimed that distance is not a factor in their relationship, rather it is the “strongest thing” in their marriage.
Sharing that the couple “give each other a lot of space,” which, in turn, helps to keep their marriage rolling.
The source added that the pop star and the ‘AIR’ actor adhere to certain ground rules to maintain their marriage.

An insider close to "Bennifer" recently told The US Sun that the couple “give each other a lot of space,” and it is the “strongest thing” in the relationship.
The source shared, "The ground rules are, Jennifer and Ben are allowed to go off and do projects, appearances and work that completely don't involve each other and definitely involve spending weeks at a time apart.”
They continued, “These are passionate people who love to work, both of them, and love to bet on themselves and the teams they have assembled around themselves over the course of decades.”
Thus clearing the air over Lopez’s solo appearance at the Met, the insider dished, "It's the strongest thing about their relationship [because] they're willing to give each other a lot of space when opportunity knocks.”
"They are independent people who don't need to be with one another 24/7 like some Hollywood couples do,” added the source.
They further noted that people close to the couple weren’t perturbed by the ‘Maid in Manhattan’ star walking the red carpet alone, as they know the pattern.
"Jennifer doing the Met Gala and Ben doing the Brady Roast doesn't look weird to people who know them,” said the source.
The insider continued, "They give each other a lot of freedom, even when everything is great," before explaining, "Ben produced and financed Jennifer's upcoming movie 'Unstoppable' but he was not there on the set every day, not even close.”

Though the source shared space is not a factor in their relationship, they highlighted the difference in their personality as a potential troublemaker in their relationship.

They continued, "She's good at ignoring little, insignificant stuff and focusing on the big picture and he isn't.”
The source highlighted the crisis in Lopez’s music career as she is still struggling to sell out stadiums for her 'This Is Me Tour'.

"But Jennifer can handle doing twenty crisis meetings in one day and it's a lot harder for Ben to do that because he has to blow off steam and check in with himself more,” claimed the source, before concluding, "That's not changing any time soon, it's who they are.”

Earlier, however, a polarizing report surfaced when another insider claimed to InTouch that Affleck had reportedly “decided to call it quits” on his marriage with Lopez.
The source shared that the ‘Good Will Hunting’ star has reportedly "reached a breaking point" and has been staying away from his wife.
Though he was reported to be still wearing his wedding ring, according to Page Six, Affleck has reportedly “moved out” of the couple’s home. Lopez was also seen house hunting without Affleck by her side.
The source recently shared, "It's over; they're headed for a divorce and for once [Ben's] not to blame.”
They added, "He's focusing on his work and kids now," before adding, "Ben already moved out and they'll likely have to sell the dream house they spent two years searching for.”
"They'll never stop loving each other, but she can't control him, and he can't change her,” and concluded, "There's no way it could have lasted.”
Affleck has daughters Violet, 18, and Seraphina, 15, and son Samuel, 12, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
Lopez, on the other hand, is a mother to 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, whom she had with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
